What an awesome weekend. The proprietor and his wife are a fantastic couple, friendly, hospitable and down right nice. We recommend these accommodations to anyone looking to stay in southern Oregon. It is a must!!!

We stopped here on a whim enroute to Crater Lake and I'm sure glad we did. Friendly staff and affordable in my opinion. We stayed at the Motor lodge part of the hotel which was more than adequate. A great place to stay, great food and some history as Teddy Roosevelt had stayed there at one time.

I am a landscape photographer and phoned the Prospect Hotel to book a cabin (2nd visit) in winter as I intended to do a photoshoot in the area. I spoke to the owner on the phone and asked for the same cabin as I stayed in last time. I knew that the heating in that room worked and it had... More

This guest has stayed before and enjoyed himself. When he called the day before, I offered more info on additional local photo opportunities (as we had in the past) and he asked to stay an additional night. I told him that we had plans out the evening of his arrival (we had blocked this night out so we could go... More

Stayed here for one night. The historic hotel rooms were great to look at but we opted for a room in the motel out back which were more in our budget. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. A good affordable alternative.

Do your homework.... this is a beautifully maintained historic building... very clean...naturally smaller rooms... wonderful private bathrooms...all a traveler should expect...we stayed two nights to visit Crater lake... were not disappointed... Karen & Fred & staff are gracious hosts... so knowledgeable of the area... we took some long walks to visit the local trails and falls..... very good comfort food... More

We stayed in the Jack London room. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and gave us great advice on what to see in the area as well as Crater Lake. Only downside was the wifi was very spotty in our room. We also had dinner on the property; I had the prime rib and my... More

Stayed Sept. 2014 Paid $169 for the "Jack London" room. Pros: Clean, historic, near Crater lake, friendly front desk Cons: Tiny rooms, a bit run down, Poor internet signal, can hear sound throughout the house, restaurant is not good. Property is very historic, and one of few places near the lake. Since Crater lake lodge is sold out so much,... More

On my recent trip to Crater Lake, I spent the night at Prospect Historic Hotel in Prospect, OR. While I am not a B&B enthusiast, it was very nice. Let's face it, when you stay in a B&B, your room is usually- as was mine - a bedroom with bathroom. So, the bedroom was nice but the hotel itself is... More

The bed and breakfast part of this establishment had a pleasant porch for sitting and the building and grounds were interesting. We did not visit the guest rooms. The motel part where we stayed was clean but dismal. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and there was a thin blanket on the bed. The box springs were uncovered and... More

This is a clean and well-run hotel that is about 45 minutes from the lake, so quite convenient if you cannot get into the Crater Lake Lodge. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. But the rooms are a bit small, and our room (the Boothby) had a really low quality bed, which, if you have a sensitive back, makes... More
