Enjoyed staying the night while traveling through area. You have choices and traveling solo I chose the motel style room. I am sure bed and breakfast style is nice and heard good comments while there. Room was basic but all I needed. Everything clean.

We stayed at the Prospect Historic Hotel/Motel on a trip up from California to Crater lake. This is one of the last towns to stop on the southern side of Crater lake for rest, gas, food, etc... We stayed in one of the rooms behind the home. I understand there are rooms available in the historic house. The rooms behind... More

There's not a whole lot to choose from when trying to stay close to Crater Lake, but Prospect Hotel B & B fit the bill for us. We stayed two nights, spending one full day at Crater Lake. We stayed in the house itself, the Roosevelt room and the Zane Grey room. Both are small with a queen bed, but... More

Prospect, OR is a very small town almost 30 miles SW of Crater Lake. It's a beautiful drive through a forest to get to the national park. This is a combination B&B/motel that has beautiful grounds and a well-maintained historic property. The staff is very welcoming and they're eager to talk about southern OR sites. The restaurant is the only... More

This was a good location for exploring Crater Lake. The staff was friendly and provided us information on easy hikes to what turned out to be two beautiful waterfalls just around the corner. The room was just as described online. We had a motel unit with two doubles and a separate room with two twins. The space was a little... More

We stayed at the motel behind the house. It's not very big, yet fairly comfortable. The front porch/patio is a great place to hang out after your trip to Crater Lake, as you recall the incredible experience. Definitely reserve the dinner if you are staying here, it is very good, and comes in great amounts too! Also make sure to... More

you don't stay in the "bed & breakfast", you stay in the tiny room behind the house. Breakfast cost extra. Rooms are dated, tiny, but clean. Quiet, easy to find. Okay if your tired and just want a bed. Would not stay again. Way overpriced!

It's a fun step into the past at this historic (refurbished) hotel. If you are going to or coming from Crater Lake, it's a terrific place to stay. The owners, Fred & Karen, are friendly & helpful. Upon arrival, we were told about several good walks/hikes nearby. We took one that led us through some woods to a small waterfall.... More

We stayed in the motel behind the historic hotel. Our room was very comfortable with heating more than adequate for the wet weather experience. Prior to dinner we enjoyed some time relaxing on the front porch. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel dining room and found the service and attention good. The owner chatted with us about the history of... More

Nice little B&B. Breakfast was delicious, dinner was ok. It's a pretty drive to Crater Lake, maybe 45 minutes. There's a nice short hike nearby to a stream and small waterfall. My only complaint is the bed wasn't too comfortable. But we would come back.
