We did an overnight at the prospect historic hotel. Rooms are small and charming, appointed with handmade quilts and soft linen. Very clean, and quiet. We were the only guests this night, so I can't speak to noise transmission. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Gracious service. We had breakfast and were treated like royalty.

I have stayed at the Prospect Historic Hotel at least 10 times over the past few years and I always look forward to my stay. I have led cross-country ski tours to Crater Lake and found this Hotel a wonderful place to make just a ski trip into a tremendous experience for a weekend or more. We have always been... More

After an awesome day at the crater lake we stayed at this hotel/motel for one night and was not so good. The rooms are OK for a motel, but they could smell better and be a little bit cleaner. The worst was that the alarm clock was on so that we woke up very early. Instead of apologizing the lady... More

We are very sorry that this traveler was having such a bad time. As one can see most of our visitors have a great experience while staying with us. She seems to have been upset from the minute she walked in. We do our very best to check folks in quickly and get them to their rooms. Though sometimes it... More

Looking for a place near Crater Lake, I decided to stay at the Motel, which was reasonably priced. I wasn't expecting that much, but was glad to receive a warm welcome from the owners, who told me upon check-in about things to do around the area. I didn't even have to ask. The room itself is just fine, neat and... More

Don't arrive after dark like we did, we got lost and because it's out in the middle of nowhere it is difficult to find. Drive all the way to the end of Mill Creek Drive, heading rough North the Hotel is very well light and you'll see it. We stayed the night before heading to Crater Lake. The owners run... More

We were on our way from California to Idaho, via Crater Lake Oregon. All the hotels were 50 miles or more out of our way. We found this hotel along our way. Nice clean accomodations. A little pricey. But they were very nice about our late check in time. We stay in the motel portion, so can't say much about... More

I stayed in motel room #4 and although I was a little early I was still able to check in. The motel room was very basic but also very clean, there was nothing to complain about. Staff and owners were great and very helpful with tips and trips not just to but also around Crater Lake. The hotel itself is... More

We found the decor a little bit over the top. Everything seemed to clash, but nothing seemed very comfortable. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable either. You had to decide what you wanted for breakfast the evening before and what time you would be in the dining room. There was no tea and coffee in the rooms and we only found... More

We stopped for dinner after spending the day at Crater Lake. Food was great. The owners came in and filled us in on the history of the hotel and other things to see and in the area. Very enjoyable experience. We plan on going back to stay in the hotel on another visit.

The innkeepers at Prospect were so lovely and welcoming. Felt like I was in their home. Historic and charming. The wrap around porch was a definite draw for everyone -- from reading, just sitting to iPads. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent. Sometimes dinner was a little slow and not a huge crowd, so not... More
