We will stay again and take advantage of a full kitchen. Although walking distance to many great restaurants.

Hotel was well located for walking to many of the great, hip spots, bars and near Powell Books. For the money, this was the best choice in that area. Room was a 1 Bedroom Apartment with small kitchen, mid-sized refrigerator, Living Room, Bed and Bath. Upper Floors would be better to get away from the street and partying crowd noise... More

We were able to check in at 10am on our day of arrival which was a huge bonus. We were travelling with our dog and so we expected a "less nice" room, which is what we normally get at most hotels but our room was great and Zoey was welcomed with her name on the chalkboard at reception. The location... More

My husband and I spent last night at the Mark Spencer as part of an "Arts Package". The deal includes free parking in their underground garage, one night's stay, and tickets to a play. The package is a great deal, much cheaper than if you bought tickets and hotel stay separately. Staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. Although old,... More

This was my second time at The Mark Spencer, and I loved it as much as my first visit in July. Both times I booked through Expedia in combination with my flight. The location is great, near the Pearl District restaurants, downtown, and other sites such as the Portland Art Museum. Getting around on public transit was also easy from... More

Right downtown. Close to Powell's, and a short walk to the art museum. Help-yourself good breakfast. Espresso/tea/hot choc available at any time in the lobby. Wine-tasting and tea and cookies are included. Most rooms have full kitchen. My only complaint was the squeaky floor boards. We were fine on the top floor but I think if you're in a lower... More

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the location was perfect: in the heart of Portland walking distance from everything: shopping, bars, cafes, restaurants, the bookstores, Pearl District etc... The rooms are clean and nice albeit in a retro-charm sorta way. The rooms are comfortable but a little crowded - they have kitchenettes though! The lobby has daily teas/wine tasting/... More

Spent 3 nights at the Mark Spencer recently. The Hotel's location right near the Pearl district is great, there are tons of food carts within a block so eating was no problem, and it is a quick walk to everything we wanted to see. The room was spacious and clean and had a kitchenette with a stove/oven and sink and... More

this was our second visit to portland and the first time we loved the pearl district so much we really wanted to stay within walking distance to it for this trip. the mark spencer is in an amazing location for eating, drinking, exploring the pearl district, as well centrally located to downtown, and the bridge to cross over to the... This was our second stay at the Mark Spencer and once again, we were impressed. Our room, the service, the staff and the breakfast were all outstanding. We were out shopping so missed the wine reception. Location is excellent for walking around the city.
