We were thrilled with our stay at The Mark Spencer, which it seems is not on a lot of people's radar. Many folks at restaurants and our wine tasting guide didn't know much about it. We thought it was a perfect hidden gem of a hotel. The location is superb, within an easy walk of Portland's many great places in... More

This hotel is In a fantastic location downtown. Easy to walk to many different districts, as well as get to public transportation to venture out of the city center. There are endless restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel and Powell's bookstore is just around the corner. The staff is amazing, and very helpful. Michael was especially helpful in helping us... The staff here was awesome! So friendly and helpful. There was a wine reception every night with nice local wines and a decent continental breakfast in the morning. Great location by the Pearl District and close to the streetcar line. 5 minute walk to the Max rail. We really liked the hotel but the room we got was very dated,... More

My husband was placed in Portland for a month and my son and I were lucky enough to go. This hotel has amazing floor plans and are perfect for families and solo buisness travelers alike. I loved the staff and location. The free breakfast was good and the wine/beer hour is a great extra. Highly recommend this place for a... More

For the price and location you probably can't find better than this hotel. Even with a wife and 3 year old boy, you are less than 20~30 mins walk from anywhere you want to be downtown at the M+S. Room OK. I do recommend the corner 1 bedroom + living room set up. TV remotes + hair dryer + lamps... More

Old hotel that is going through modernizing. Nice rooms, immaculate, and a nice staff. The afternoon cookies that are served in the lobby are outstanding. Breakfast (included in price) is just OK- nothing special.

A group of five friends and I stayed four nights at the Mark Spencer for the weekend. When we first arrived, they didn't have a record of our second room (we booked two Jr. Queen Suites through Booking.com). We ended up with one renovated Queen room (1st floor) and one un-renovated King room (5th floor). The renovated room was lovely--beautiful... More

Looking around for hotels in Portland, Oregon was experience, because everything we looked at was Mega Expensive, I tried looking for mid range hotels, but even on mid range hotels some of the write ups where not to my liking. We finally settled for The Marks Spencer Hotel, 409 SW 11th Ave, Portland, OR 97205, USA. We arrived at 12:15pm,... More

Had a super four nights in this hotel. Very handy for the sights and sounds of Portland. Staff super helpful and efficient. Liked the daily wine and cheese testing. Good quality buffet breakfast on offer each day. This was a retirement trip and the hotel left a best wishes card, champagne and chocolates in the room. Very thoughtful and much... More

We recently drove to Portland from Vancouver BC and stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. It was our first time in this charming city and enjoyed every minute of it! Staying at Mark Spenser made it even more perfect. I have to first mention the impeccable customer service they gave us esp from Krit, the front office staff that... More
