Not 5 star but a comfy bed, very clean and a good breakfast included. We walked to the river, and parks and shops, cinema, etc. There was valet service for our car. The front desk staff were great. We had a very hearty Americsn breakfast (read: way too much) so I suggest ask for a Half serve, they are more... More

This was our first trip to Portland. This hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area and is conveniently located close to Pioneer Square where you can ride the red line Max train to and from the airport. $5.00 buys you an all day pass on the Max line. Back to the hotel. Rooms are pretty small. You... More

This is a delightful hotel in terms of the service, which is genuinely friendly and helpful from the doormen (despite their ridiculous uniforms) to the front desk staff. And the hotel is very quiet . . . aaah . . . and our room was appointed with many comforts, including lovely bedding, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, a big... More

wonderful happy hour with wine, in their library with books available to check out. Work out space is very small. Location very close to theatres and museums. Did not eat at the on site restaurant. Wonderful lobby area.

We recently spent 3 nights at The Heathman and had a wonderful time and experience. We loved the location and everybody was so friendly and helpful. The only complaint, and we're not the only one's, is that the valet parking is $39/night. That is way too steep especially when you can go around the corner and pay anywhere from $15-$20.

And it has been The Heathman for close to ninety years. Fans of period architecture should marvel at the main floor's appointments and detail. They do a good job of preservation. I have lived in the PDX metro all my life and have dined there, but never had a reason to stay there. Then a concert popped up at the... More

The hotel is very central and service is good. As the building is among the smaller ones there is not much view and light into the room is quite limited. So as a business-type room where you just sleep and rest it's fine. I would not take my family or stay in this hotel if I had to spend more... More

Dear Mortenhoegh, Thank you for taking the time out to review the Heathman. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the French Press in the room and the hotel. We certainly do have some rooms that are a bit brighter than others and will be working on a newer lighting program to give a bit more light to the... More

We had four rooms in the hotel for a group, but there were no tables and also for a hotel guests in the restaurant. According to Michael, the hotel manager, of the bookable tables had been taken for four weeks. It was Mother's Day, but they had a huge first come, first serve area that they refused to reserve, despite... More

I would love to discuss your stay with your further. I am certainly addressing these issues with my team and the restaurant manager. Thank you again for... More

I love staying here. It is awesome with a perfect location downtown. The Heathman always provides such first class customer service. The restaurant is wonderful & high tea is fun. I can't wait to go back again real soon for some fun in the city.

We arrived by cab and the valets were immediately at the curb to open the car door, welcome us and retrieve our luggage. During our stay, as soon as we exited the hotel, they always greeted us warmly and promptly obtained a cab if needed. At the registration desk, when we checked in, we were again treated in a warm,...
