Just returned from 3 nights in a symphony suite at the Heathman Hotel in Portland. As everyone else has said in their reviews, this hotel is wonderful. Nice big room (pull out sofa bed for my teenage son), second sink in vanity area outside bathroom was very helpful with three of us in the room, wonderful, knowledgeable staff. Great location... more

The Heathman has a great location in downtown Portland....we were attending the 2009 Portland Waterfront Blues Festival and it was a few city blocks away so were ecstatic about that. The room, a standard smoking on the sixth floor, was super clean and with great appointments. The bath, though somewhat small, had great fixtures, was newly renovated and had great... more

When ever visiting Portland, our family always stays with the Heathman. The hotel staff is absolutley amazing. They always make you feel like your needs are number 1 and will go out of their way to ensure you're taken care of. The updated rooms are fantastic and as always, we had a wonderful breakfast at the restaraunt. To the staff... more

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights while he attended a conference and I did some book buying for the school where I am a librarian. Everything about the Heathman reeks of quality. The doorman dressed as a "Beefeater," the historic and characteristic architecture, the beautiful wood-paneled piano bar, the corridors with original Andy Warhol prints, the excellent service,... more

We were treated like Kings from the moment the valet took my keys until he returned them to leave for home. The Beefeater gave excellent recommendations for where to eat and what to visit during our stay and he had a great sense of humor. The front check in staff were friendly and very welcoming. I also noticed an employee... more

We just got back from staying at the Heathman for our daughter's Prom. We rented a Symphony Suite for the girls and my wife and I stayed in a different room. The rooms are well designed for spaciousness and well appointed. The decor exudes a feeling of sensible luxury. French Press with Peet's Coffee was a plus for us coffee... more

The staff and facilities at the Heathman Hotel provided everything we could have wanted and more. The room was comfortable and fully stocked with every manner of accoutrement needed for our stay. The décor is stylish and impressive while the entertainment and cuisine puts the Heathman among the finest of accommodations, I look forward to my next stay here. more

I've stayed at the Heathman a handful of times over the last year, and have been VERY impressed with the consistent quality and service. From the curb to the room, staff is attentive and friendly and never seem to be just digging for a better tip. The tea-room/dining area is a fantastic place to relax before or heading out to... more

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in the centre of Portland. Great access to everything. Great staff and amenities - restaurant and room service. Quiet even though it's located on one of the main streets. Lovely little extras like real coffee and tea in your room. Wine and entertainment (piano) in the afternoon. more

Four very deserving moms earned a day/night out in downtown Portland. We had a fabulous day at the spa and then out for dinner and drinks. We were completely spoiled and the spoiling didn't end at the spa. Our stay at the Heathman was magnificent and it was the perfect place to get ready for our evening plans and to... more
