First impression was not good. There were lots of strange people around the hotels. I got the feeling that some of them were living in it. The room was spacy. In the bathroom you get soup and shampoo. For the breakfast you get: toast, butter, marmalade, oranges, coffee and tea. The staff was polite and attentive.

We really enjoyed our 8 night stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, had granite counters and tabletops, flat screen TV, good water pressure, a fridge and microwave! The breakfast had DELICIOUS muffins, bagels, fruit, coffee, granola, etc, and the customer service was really excellent! They have a nice Jacuzzi hot tub and it's very close to shopping and eating... Pros: Comfy bed and close to great public transport Cons: When we booked online they had pictures of a really nice tub, and specified that there was a bath in the room. When we checked we realized that it was a special 'jacuzzi suite' and that the pics online didn't match the room. On top of that disappointment, there was... More

Our room was clean and well set up. Left for airport before breakfast was served but they offered a to-go breakfast bag the night before if we wanted one. Declined the offer and had breakfast at the airport since we were flying out at 6 a.m. Location was about 2 miles from the airport which was good but the hotel... More

8:00, call computer not allowing reservations and manager not in. Call back in 15. 10:00, could not take reservation because manager was having some kind of shouting match with housekeeping. 10:30. Manager now having and argument with a guest about stealing a towel! Too many weird, but red, flags.

This hotel offers exceptionally clean rooms in a convenient location with the friendliest and most helpful staff around. It’s a few minutes walk to the MAX station and the buses are even closer. For those of you who are night owls, you should know the last MAX Red Line train leaves downtown around 10:30PM however the #12 bus operates until... More

This is the perfect Hotel for lower budget stays directly at the red line MAX station bringing you in 10min to the airport. The rooms are clean with good beds, TV and WIFI. The moden century stops here, because everything else is made for a trip back to past in the 80s.Correct continental breakfast is served. Correct value for the... More

My fiancee and I had a 14-hour layover in Portland so we decided to get a room for the night. We chose Econo Lodge. The teller, Robin, was providing us the pricing options. The cheapest option was $65, she went on to tell us the $90 option, which offered an in-room hot-tub. We absolutely HAD to go with that. It... More

Don't be scared off by the "Econo" in the name, as this is a nice place to stay. The rooms have been updated, though they still use the old-fashioned tube-style TV's. The rooms were clean and I didn't experience any undue noise, but my friend a couple of rooms away did complain to the desk about his upstairs neighbor coming... More

My sincerest appreciation for the awesome compliment, it’s great when people can see that Econo doesn’t necessarily mean Econo. We strive to keep updating and plan on installing flat screen tv’s in every room by next week! I would like to sincerely apologize to your friend about the issue regarding noise he experienced upstairs. I would like to personally reassure... More
