I've never felt the need to write a review before, but felt I really needed to for this hotel. First room they gave us 115 smelled terribly of cigarette smoke even though they are non smoking. He quickly and nicely changed our room to 117. It smelled the exact same, smoke and musty smells, just not as bad. Figured this... More

Requested ground floor so it would be easy to store our bikes but given second floor, they said it was not in the booking and since it was booked through Expedia could not be changed. Room was discusting with smoke smell so requested another which we received also on the second floor which smelled of musty and old smoke but... More

Very nice and professional staff but the rooms are disgustingly outdated and need to be repaired. Room 112 coat rack is hanging off and it's just not worth 120 a night. Also I don't know what they use to clean the floors and toilet seat but my shoes stuck to the bathroom floor and our butts stuck to the toilet... More

We picked this hotel for its proximity to the max and the price. BAD DECISION. Our door would not stay closed unless we double-locked from inside. If you are outside you can open with a push, no turn of knob necessary. We told front desk and they showed us how to slam it well enough to stay closed, which we... More

That's what I get for not checking here first. Booked through Hotels.com and their reviews are "significantly" better. My room was so thick with smoke that I could SEE it (this is a non-smoking hotel). Cigarette butts all over. The bathroom had been used by someone else. I asked to change rooms, and the manager was very rude about it.... More

First impression is a flop house. Loud street noises (homeless shouting, shopping cart peddling, street car noise, smokers in the breezeway, smelly rooms, very old beds, dirty linen. My room (#114) had a broken door strike which made the door loose and stay slightly ajar. It was never fixed after I informed the front desk. The light rail system shakes the... More

Upon arriving the door would not open, was fixed the next day. Bathroom smelled of pot, fan did not work. TV remote did not work, power button on TV was broken which could have been shock hazard. Crusty stain on the carpet in the middle of the room and stains on the shower curtain of unknown origin. Did not want... More

Had to stay one night in Portland and this was where we stayed. It was fine for one night, staff weren't rude or welcoming somewhere in the mutual zone. Room smelt very strongly of....skunk.. You truly get what you pay for here, just a place to rest your head for a short time. Nothing fancy or nice.

I stayed at the Motel 6 in Downtown Portland this last weekend, after having a heck of a time with Shilo Inn in the same area. They gave me a double queen room in a great amount of time. I did not have to wait long for the maids to clean my room and I quickly figured out why it... More

When one visits Portland without having made a reservation, it is easy to get left behind or deceived by appearances. In the Convention Center district, the hotel across the street from this place looks nice, The Inn at The Convention Center(does have TV and wi fi). However, the rooms there lack a refrigerator and microwave and the balconies are locked... More
