We stayed at the La Quinta near the Lloyd Center Mall and Rose Quarter Convention Center for two nights on a Weekend Impulse rate of $59/night. The reservation was easy and the check-in was very pleasant. There was only one person at the front desk, but she was very efficient and served three customers ahead of me in short order,... more

I was feeling thrifty on my company's behalf so when I came to Portland for a tech conference in mid-July I booked the La Quinta. Room was about $55 a nite, I believe. Maybe I've gotten spoiled staying at Marriotts and even Courtyard Inns, but this place really was weak. First, it's got the look of a 60s California apt.... more

We spent three nights at La Quinta and were very happy with the hotel. The 24 hr indoor pool was a good size, clean and easy to access for guests. The breakfast, although not fancy, was well maintained and organized. We had a fridge and microwave in our room. The staff tried hard to keep us happy. Location was close... more

This trip was the second time I have stayed at this La Quinta. I find it a great value and the convenience can't be beat. Its one block from the MAX light rail line so its a simple trip from PDX airport. Then its a quick (and free) trip to down town. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.... more

Just returned from my spring break trip, which began in Portland. There are so many positives about this LaQuinta hotel!! First, the location is so convenient. It was convenient to the freeway and easy to find. They offer on-site, free parking and then you can walk the one block to the MAX station which takes you everywhere (it's even a... more

Best place to stay in the Lloyd Center area/Convention Center area in Portland, OR. I didn't actually stay here but I did all the research for places to stay for my family coming to town. Four parties decided to stay at La Quinta after I told them about it. Yes, the hallways do smell odd, mainly like strong detergent. I... more

For a very reasonably-price motel, La Quinta has a lot going for it. We were pleasantly surprised by our room and by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The rooms have been recently re-decorated and were clean and comfortable. We had a microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, ironing board and iron. The short walk to the Max line made getting... more

If a nice pool is as important to your family as it is to mine. Beware, this pool is not heated. Our kids did get to swim, but I wouldn't go in with them, it was way too cold for me. more

The location of the hotel is excellent. Within walking distance of MAX Light Rail and in the "free" zone. Also can walk to mall, eating, and convention center. Hotel is finishing up remodel and the room I stayed in was completed. All furniture new and walls have been stripped of old wall paper and replaced with paint. Very fresh look.... more

I just spent two nights at this hotel. Results are mixed. It's not flashy, it not a rat trap. It's a solid, basic place to sleep and keep your stuff while you're out exploring Portland. The Good Very convenient location. It's a block from the MAX light rail, which you can ride for free to downtown Portland, or for $1.60... more
