The home is in a beautiful park area south of Portland and was very convenient for us. Finding it can be tricky if you don't have GPS or very good directions. The staff was very friendly and we felt it was a good value for the price of the room that we had. Our room was very quiet and was... more

This easily located and lovely B & B is unique in the fact that it is not someone's home. It is exclusively for the overnight guest. It is peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the gardens from all windows. I was welcomed with my name on a chalkboard outside of the front door and by the door of my... more

We just returned (Tokyo, Japan) after a trip to the west coast of the US which included a three night-stay at Terwilliger Vista B and B. We were welcomed by a friendly chalk board message and then by Sandy, the new innkeeper (she told us that she was three months into the job). The breakfast prepared by Sandy was delicious.... more

My husband and I and teenage son just returned from a 5 night stay while visiting several colleges in the Portland area. We have been staying at b & b's throughout my son's college visits and this was a wonderful experience! The b & b is owned by Carl who is extremely nice and is on the property every day.... more

I found the Terwiliger on the internet and contacted the owners directly. We were travelling from Winnipeg to Portland to see a Bob Seger concert. This was our first bed and breakfast that we ever stayed in. The owners were pleasant and friendly. The B&B was easy to find, right off the interstate. The owner suggested places to dine before... more

This B+B was exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I got married earlier that day, and we needed a place to stay that was relatively close to home, but would still shave a few hours off our destination drive the next morning of our honeymoon. We'd never stayed in a B+B before, so we didn't really know... more

It was actually a year since we stayed there so perhaps they've made some changes since. I think you're paying mostly for location at this B&B... the area is beautiful. It was the first B&B we ever stayed at and had nothing to compare against, but since then we've stayed at many and have found much better values. We think... more

Thank you for your inputs. I basically like the furniture in the room, but the rod iron does have a bit of a 70’s feel. I think the rod iron works with the knotty pine walls very well. I will take a pass thru the room and update the accessories. That is a fair comment. I've learned, in the cooler...

My fiancee and I booked four days at the Brittania at Terwilliger Vista to plan our wedding in Portland (where neither of us is from, but that's another story). Carl was not only a great host, making us feel right at home, but he was incredibly helpful with directions, suggestions of places to go, and even restaurant reviews! Breakfasts were... more

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend but soon after arriving we regretted our decision. The carpet in the hall clearly showed its age and the dirt had accumulated in it over the years. Our room proved to have the same problems- old and dirty. Our bedspread had a large stain in it. The towels were old and tattered. The... more

The beige carpet in the hall is regularly cleaned, and was scheduled to be steamed cleaned between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday rush. All our bedding is checked upon departure, and the stain was found and removed. I will say, in this room, the windowsill is behind the taller headboard, and had been missed. This has been added to the...

We originally booked a hotel stay in downtown Portland, however due to street construction directly adjacent to the hotel, we decided to look for a more peaceful spot to spend another couple days. My husband found this B&B online and called to confirm that they had space - they did, so he booked three nights there. We arrived at this... more

We’re very sorry that this guest was as unhappy with us as the hotel she had just left. We do our best to make everyone’s stay a wonderful stay. In this case, we seemed to have gotten it all wrong.
