I won't bore you with all the details, but here are some of the highlights: mold--on the wall, ceiling and in our wine glasses, no firewood, wall heater didn't work, dirty tub, old-cold-self-serve-coffee, unaccomadating, distant and very awkward host, breakfast that doesn't satisfy but rather kills your appetite--we're talking eggs so bad that they make you wish for the instant... Total bust. No one was there when we arrived. It was a cold, rainy day yet the doors were open downstairs so it was very cold in the room. We got the room with the fireplace, but there was no wood to make a fire to warm up the room. Apparently they expect guests to request firewood beforehand, though that... More

I wish I had read the reviews before booking. No one to greet us or help of any kind. Stayed in the blue room which looked good in the photographs but they must have been a long time ago. In the cold hard light of the morning it is dusty and very knocked about. At 11pm had to phone hostess... More

When we arrived after a long drive, we made our own way to the room (you hardly ever see the HouseKeeper), we went into the Burgundy Rose Suite and went WOW. What a lovely room in a lovely house....but then!! Firstly we decided we would have a hot drink. You are lead to facilities downstairs which smelt musty but the... More

Judging from the reviews, this may have been nice a few years ago. Currently, however, it is in terrible shape. No one greeted us. We stayed in the "green room", a tiny room with a tiny T.V.. The bed was so soft it caved in the middle when we sat on it (and we are not overweight!) We literally took... More

I would not stay here again. The innkeeper is not generally around, which is fine, since I'm not one to chat for a long time... but the whole place suffers from neglect. My room was not made up once in the three nights I was there. ZERO housekeeping, even though I put out the "please tidy the room" sign. I... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast consisted of (2) lukewarm pre-cooked blueberry pancakes, doused with powdered sugar and (1) large sausage cut in half and grilled. This was served to us both mornings, we left and did not eat the breakfast the second morning that we were there. No fruit or cereal was offered, in fact the... More

The house is beautiful and across the street from Terwilliger Park. (We spent the afternoon walking the trails of the park). The rooms are really nice, clean and beds were very comfortable. My husband and I had the Blue Room and our son had the Green Room. Be prepared to be spoiled with a huge breakfast of eggs, sausage, toast,... More

Three branches of my extended family stayed here for a wedding last summer. The innkeeper was rarely around, which suited us just fine. We felt completely at home in the living spaces and lovely garden. However, we were disappointed with the breakfast, especially for the price. We were there three nights, and each morning we were served one extremely sweet... More

The home is in a beautiful park area south of Portland and was very convenient for us. Finding it can be tricky if you don't have GPS or very good directions. The staff was very friendly and we felt it was a good value for the price of the room that we had. Our room was very quiet and was... More
