My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of days in late July and loved it - the White House is located in a cute neighborhood on the east side of Portland (Downtown was very accessible via short cab ride). We loved the breakfasts and enjoyed getting to know the other guests. Lanning was a great host and helped... More

We just hosted our family and bridesmaids at the White House for our wedding weekend. Lanning, Myra, and the staff were so accommodating, gracious and helpful. All of us felt at home as we took over the house as our "home base" for a wedding at the Maysara Winery. Lanning hosted a beautiful Welcome Reception for us - where the... More

Stayed here for two nights. The house is beautifully done. The proprietor is very friendly and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was large, delicious, and served quickly. Our only complaint would be the room size, which was very small. If you aren't planning on spending much time in your room this wouldn't be a problem. Even though... More

We just had our wedding held here this past weekend, and I truly can not say enough great things about Lanning, Myra and their entire staff! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful! Lanning and Myra took Care of every aspect of the wedding for us and it truly made my experience as a bride such an enjoyable relaxing experience. During the... More

This is a very lovingly cared for B&B carefully restored and decorated with period antiques. The Baron’s room is clean, beautiful, and has a comfortable mattress. Breakfasts were delicious and the property very well maintained. There were several touches that were particularly welcoming: chocolates and homemade cookies (very tasty!) were in the room when we arrived, and the room radio... More

This B&B is quite lovely. it is in excellent shape, has charming decor, and a killer breakfast. It is fun staying in a place with such interesting history. There are tons of beautiful antiques, porcelain, and lovely landscaping. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. If you want to stay there, you need plan very very early. The single negative... We rented a well-provisioned Westfalia through this B&B for a two-week road trip, so our first and last nights were spent in the luxurious beds with a splendid breakfast. The hosts and staff are pleasant and accommodating. Be sure to check out Lanning's collections of china, porcelain and art, all displayed throughout the house.

We had our family stay here and take the whole place over. Their breakfast was fabulous, and then Lanning, the proprietor hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner, and all I can say is it was fantastic. Not just the food, but the presentation, and service. The staff and Lanning made it perfect. Our families loved staying there. I highly recommend this... More

Last weekend we hosted two wedding events at Portland's White House.   We not only took over all of the rooms in the White House, but we also held a special dinner for out-of-towners as well as a Sunday brunch.  Our guests raved about the beautiful rooms, their fabulous nights' sleep, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.  The... My husband and I stayed here for one night on a Pacific Northwest trip. It's located in a pretty, tree-lined residential area a few minutes from downtown Portland. The house is beautiful and our room (the Baron's room) was extremely clean and comfortable. Loved the poufy king bed! Numerous options for what time you can eat breakfast in the morning,... More
