Clean, comfortable room with mini fridge and microwave. Free wifi, airport shuttle, nice free breakfast, very helpful staff, close to MAX station, restaurant next door for meals. It is an older property, and walls are thin so we could hear hall traffic.

We were very impressed by the Best Western Pony Soldier Inn, since it was somewhat cheaper than other hotels in the area, but the excellent TripAdvisor rating was accurate, and we were very pleased with our accommodations! The room was big, well-appointed and clean. The breakfast was great (loved the fresh make-your-own waffles). Decent restaurant (Elmer's) right next-door. The drive... More

I only have a couple small issues at this hotel, otherwise it is a great place to stay. First, it's just a personal thing I guess but the front doors are not automatic and if toy have several bags, it can be a hassle to get in or out. Second, my room had a musty smell but they are updating... More

Just spent 3 days at the Pony Soldier while vacationing in Portland. The hotel was perfect for our needs. Easy access on and off the freeway. The continental breakfast had a hot dish each morning, along with a make it yourself waffle maker, 3 kinds of cereal, fresh fruit, and many other selections. The staff was very helpful when we... For my wife on her 63rd birthday, we did a wife Bucket list thing. We did a Zip line trip with our daughter, son and daughter in law. That evening we had dinner at the Ringside-East dinner house. Sarah, at this motel, arranged for the restaurant to print, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY, on the top of the menu, which she got... More

This hotel really needs the facelift. They are in the middle of remodeling, so rooms are a work in progress. The room had a funky stale smell to it, floor & carpet was a bit grimy, hopefully it will be better once remodeled. The room was quiet even though it faced a busy street. Room has a mini fridge, micro,... More

From the minute you walk in and are greeted with a sincere "Hello" from the front desk and each subsequent staff member you meet, you begin to realize that you are truly an "Honored Guest"! Spacious clean fresh beds and baths, from smaller rooms to suites you will be well satisfied with the quality and value and begin asking yourself...."When... More

It was first time we stayed in this hotel. Our room was very spacious, clean and very practically furnished (two suitcase benches). It was facing the courtyard and pool so it was very quiet at night. Their free breakfast was very basic but with addition of our own ham and cheese it was palatable and sufficient.

It was a quick and comfortable stay. Everything worked out smoothly. The beds were comfortable. It was nice and clean. Even smelled clean. We would stay there again anytime! Everything was spacious. There were enough surfaces to place all our luggage on. Enough storage area also.
