This place needs some tender loving gardening and general upkeep. The website pictures show a nice well trimmed look. The front lawn is dead, the bushes are overgrown, and extension cords lay around the outside. Maude seemed pretty space out, so we looked inside at the proposed room for an expensive $135 and drove away. more

Della and Virgil were wonderful hosts. She made an amazing breakfast with fresh eggs from her chicken coup and warm maple syrup for the pancakes and wafles. The mattress was better than ours at home - it was quite confortable. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience that I would say was good however not great. Next time we will remember... more

The website gives an accurate impression of the premises. The B&B is located in a nice suburban area. The room was clean and the common areas were pleasant as well. That being said there's a few things that more than offset the above. 1) There's a chicken coup right below the windows of the guest rooms. We're not talking a... more

Della and Virgil's Mt. Scott Manor provided us with a wonderful base for travel around Portland. The house sits up on a ridge overlooking their gorgeous property. There's a large deck with chairs to sip tea, coffee or even a glass of wine and watch the hummingbirds. You can walk out the front door, look left and see one mountain... more

We stayed at Mt. Scott in April. I did not leave a review at that time but I felt moved to do so after reading some of the reviews today. I sense that this place may not be for everyone. If you are just looking for a room, it is probably not for you. It is more of a guesthouse... more

We have been in B&B's all over North America and Europe and would be hard pressed to pick a better overall experience than this one. The room, the view, the location, the food, the company, and most of all the manner in which the owner sought to make us feel welcome by answering any and all special requests. Each was... more

After staying at the Mt. Scott Manor B&B I was surprised to see the reviews posted on this website (for better representative reviews check out bedandbreakfast.com). Fortunately I didn't see them until after I had stayed there, as I would have missed out on a GREAT experience if I hadn't been there. The manor has 2 gracious hosts with Della... more

There are some things to like about Mt. Scott Manor. The location is fantastic, with gorgeous views of both mountain and forest. The first morning, I saw an eagle, a coyote and several deer. The food is not great, but good enough, and the great room is quite attractive. I found the word "suite" misleading, however. We did not have... more

If your review had not given such a beautiful and accurate description of our inn in your first paragraph, I would say that you may have confused us with another facility you may have stayed in the five months since your last visit with us in November to writing this review in March? Yes we consider the Sunrise Suite a...

This was the most terrible place to stay and the ads are misleading and there was no game room, no phone, no coffe pot, no breakfast, no snacks and so on. They are very nosy and treat you awful. Stay away from this place more

Dear Guest I consider all of my advertising to be accurate and truthful, as represented and mentioned in several other reviews, We do have a 1200 pound solid slate competition pool table available for use, there is a hard line phone in every room, and there is always a full pot of fresh coffee brewing in the kitchen, we always...
