Scott and Rupert (the owners) byline when advertising is Portland's Best Kept secret - and so it is with a certain hesitancy that I submit its first reveiw on Tripadvisor! Living in Portland, but lacking in guest facilities, I put my inlaws into this wonderful self-contained guest house in Irvington, NE Portland. The Manor House is a 2 storey, self contained unit with a double bedroom, living area, fully equipped kitchen, shower room, utility area and garage. The accommodation is first class and the hosts are extremely warm but (although living next door) leave their guests in serene privacy. The location is excellent, just off NE Broadway, so by great shopping and a 5 minute walk to the MAX line, which gets you into central downtown in no time and for no cost. It really is a great place for discerning guests wanting a little more than a hotel room (for less than the cost). There is a pull out bed, so this would work well for a couple or a family. They have a nightly rate, but... more
