The room was, well, roomy. It had a chair to hang out in and a chair and desk to work at. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful if not always knowledgable about the area. It was a great value considering the competition. If you want to feel like you are downtown, this is not the place,... More

Feces on the Shower curtain! After a night of listening to loud partying (the rooms are not sound proof at all!), I got in the shower, and there was feces on the shower curtain. This is clearly not a clean hotel. There were several other cleanliness problems, but I have never been so disgusted in my life. I would never,... More

What a rip off...pay extra for deluxe room and this is what we got....THE TOILET SEAT WAS DIRTY,to the point that we have to wipe it with one of the towels...the tv stations were all fuzzy, but we were told @ the front desk that it was because interference, it just happen to be just in our room...the matress were... We stayed a total of 3 nights at this hotel in late October. The first two nights we were placed in a room that faced the open pool area with outdated decor. On both nights there were other guests who were loud, up late, and smoking (which we could smell through our heating/ac window unit.) We requested a room change... More

The room was large, which was nice, but not very clean. It was cheap, though, and you get what you pay for. To get internet you have to plug your computer into an Ethernet cord that only extends a foot from the wall. Sounds can be heard very easily from the next room. If you stay here maybe ask if... More

Great location in Downtown Portland. Just a few blocks to great restaurants, VooDoo Donuts, Jake's, McCormick & Schmitts, etc. Parking can be challenging, and the rooms are in a courtyard walkway outside.

This place has skipped several update cycles and now resembles a Stanley Kubric movie. I was a little dubious about the carpet, and I really disliked the funky dark hallways. The room itself was fine and the bathroom newly remodeled. Wi-fi is spotty. The staff was friendly and the price is low, plus you get a warm chocolate chip cookie.

We stayed here for two nights. We were looking for a centrally-located hotel but didn't want to pay the prices most downtown properties charge. This place fits the bill. The corridors are a bit worn and the hotel definately shows its age. The room was OK - the bed comfortable and the room was quiet. The place was clean but... More

Close to the streetcars and light rails. Good food. I didn't like the dark hallways though. Room is not sound proof, you can hear the shower from the other room and people walking around. But would definitely recommend for travelers on a budget!

Just a 30 minute brisk walk to the Pearl district where hotels start at twice the rate, this hotel is located by the university. Good breakfast with lots of options. Friendly staff. Although a lot of students stay there for football games, the room was quiet at night. Fine for the price. Did not like the $12 parking fee, but... More
