We stayed here the night before an appointment at OHSU and for the price I paid and the images on their website I was expecting something much different. The hotel was just and average motel. Not the cleanest and the price for parking was outrageous. The restaurant and lounge area was not the nicest but the service was good If... More

Came with a group and the 'hotel' is really more like a motel and in terrible condition. Dirty, spiders in our rooms, ceilings leaking, really shoddy wifi or no wifi at all, some of the staff was okay while others couldn't care less, lots of running around of people during the middle of the night, horrible dated decor and outdated... I stayed at this hotel with a group of friends for 3 nights. The location was convenient....but aside from that I don't have much to say. The room was a place to stay. Beds were comfortable and the towels clean. I didn't risk eating in the restaurant (personal preference). Did seem a unnecessary to charge for parking since it was... More

This was a surprise. The Portland University University Place (which is run totally as a commercial hotel) was very nice, very well-located. We had a large, clean and quiet room facing the interior courtyard and pool. The bed was great and the room was well-appointed, fridge, microwave and coffee-maker. Really could not have asked for more, and the wifi was... More

Was there just for overnight to a concert at the new waterfront event center. Walking distance. Sort of shabby room, worn out and tired abit, but the location is good, the value very good, and the staff excellent. The wi fi set up is amazingly goofy ( they email you a password , and it s slow, on a Uni... More

I was using the hotel as a base for boarding the Amtrak Coast Starlight from Union Station. The hotel is close to the tram which goes straight to Union Station. The staff were friendly and helpful and the welcome 'smart' cookie was a nice unique way to greet you. The room itself was basic but provided everything I needed and... More

This hotel is on the campus of Portland U. Yes you have to pay for parking, but compared to prices for other hotels in Portland it is still very reasonable. The staff is responsive to needs such as extra blankets. Within moments after calling the front desk they were at the door. The breakfast is amazing for an included breakfast.... More

We spent a few nights here at the end of August We had a comfortably sized room with a small patio overlooking the pool. The place has WiFi but not a very strong signal. Breakfast in the onsite restaurant is included in the room price and is better than most "included breakfasts" The place is clean the the staff competent. They... More

I picked this hotel because of the location. We wanted very close to the area that we planned to be. First thing that was bad, was we had to pay for parking! 15.00 for one night, really? Another unreal thing was no wi-fi. Right next to Portland State U, and no free access to the internet. No hot tub, very... More

We stayed overnight at the UP, mostly because other, nicer hotels in town were booked. I'd have to agree with the review that reported things here are average. Not sure what room Rancid was staying in - ours was clean and smelled fine. But it's high enough level of service here that the management would certainly move you to another... More
