My husband and I stayed here 5 nights. We knew from the other Tripadvisor reviews the Palms would be nothing fancy. It had plenty of space, a comfy bed, laundry facilities was clean and in a good location. The staff were nice too. It's right next to a tram stop which takes you into the city centre. It's also walking... More

Small motel good only for sleep, not too clean. We seen 2 spider in the room while we are trying to sleep. My kids wher very scared to sleep after that. Nothing in the area it is like isolated motel. No breakfast. Wifi is very weak

This looked like a good deal. The room was adequate and it did have free Wi-Fi. The place was not well cared for. My downstairs neighbor had loud drumming music playing all night. The staff was not friendly. The best part was its proximity to the light rail.

The Palms is amazing. This is probably all that needs to be said. Coming from the UK, motels are a novelty but usually for the wrong reasons; you got to a motel to meet Norman Bates or hide from the Police. However, despite this irrational belief we booked to stay at the Palms for a week. It was the best... More

My husband and I stayed at the Palms for 4 nights to visit the Portland area. It was a busy weekend and most places were full and did not have 4 consecutive nights available or were $350+ a night. The Palms was great, the manager was attentive, helpful and accommodating to our needs. Though it was basic it had many... More

I stayed here one night. The owner was very polite and helpful at check in. He advised on places to see and things to do as well as made a copy of the train map and explained which trains to take to get to different places. The room was clean. I did notice some mildew/mold spots on the bathroom ceiling.... More

We were given a room on the ground level. It was pretty quiet, but we also got there late. The room was clean and management was nice. The beds were comfortable. WiFi was a little temperamental but it's free. My only real complaint was that I was overcharged by about $3.00 which wasn't worth fighting about after 15+ hours of driving... More

I admit that I am normally a cheap traveller and I do not like to spend a lot of money on hotels. But the Palms motel offers a great value for your money. The position is great, the staff is kind and very, very nice. Finally, the room was pretty quite and clean, too. I highly recommend it!

Chose this central location for its convenient access to Portland's MAX tram service - the nearest stop is very close. Very clean; non-smoking room; comfortable large bed; good (and necessary) air conditioning; free wi-fi; good towels; good coffee maker; consistent hot water - thus meeting all my requirements as a base of operations for my visit to Portland, with the... We stayed at the Palms for 4 nights. The room & Bathroom were clean, Great Bed, and nicely updated. The rooms are a little small, however when you put a King bed in an ordinary room? It is in an area in Transition and the surrounding neighborhood can be a little sketchy at night. We had no trouble though and... More
