We stayed here for a total of four nights while on a road trip through Washington and Oregon. While it is nothing special, it was clean, service was friendly and the location right beside the yellow line meant that we could get in and out of the city quickly and cheaply. Laundry room was an added asset. Recommend if all... More

Coming to Portland on a weekend in the summer and trying to book at the last minute put us in a pinch. The Palms Motel was one of the only--if not the only--option less than $250 per night (not joking) that was actually still within the city itself. PROS: Location is pretty good! On the Yellow MAX line, as well... More

I was recently on an Oregon road trip, and I decided to spend a few nights in Portland. I chose the Palm Motel, and I sure am glad that I did! Excellent value, nice room, very convenient to the MAX line. I did not want to spend a lot on a place to stay, but I wanted the place to... More

Although we didn't get the $51.04 from last time that we were promised when we phoned in our reservation this time (a different person at the desk than on the phone), and although our promised repeat room 37 was occupied, Room 69 was every bit as good. Clean, great King bed, table with 2 chairs, sideboard with coffee maker and... More

We should have taken a hint when the manager met us in Bare Feet on the filthy carpet in the tiny, i.e. non existent, lobby. But we continued on to the room. The furniture had to have come from dumpster diving. The only chair in the room was stained and disgusting. The carpet was worse, sticky and moist. The headboard... More

Room was small and very dark - hot water was none existent and the fridge sounded like a jumbo jet !. i had to get up and turn it off in the night as it was so noisy. Whole place is run down and cheap looking - was glad to leave.

After a misunderstanding the owner called to the room and yelled at us over the phone. He was utterly unaccommodating and bearish in his approach. Probably the worst, most unreasonable customer service I have ever seen. After which, feeling uncomfortable to stay, after 10 mins past checking in the owner refused to refund the money after a dispute and in... More

We have stayed at Palms motel twice. The first time - just my wife and me. The second time, five of us stayed in a room (it had three beds). We had absolutely no complains both times. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. It is perfect for a good night's sleep. Completely worth the low cost. Highly... More

For the price you pay, this is a decent hotel! Great location - just one block from the Yellow Line MAX transit so getting around Portland really couldn't be easier from this hotel. The room is fairly basic, you get what you pay for, but is safe, quiet and comfortable. My room key didn't work my first night so I... More

stayed here for three nights Pros: easy to find (thank the neon sign), 5 min drive to downtown portland, easy access to freeway, quiet, lots of parking, room was cleaned everyday and for people on a budget it is well priced at 55/night Cons: green carpet felt dirty to step on w/ bare feet, bring som flip flops or something,...
