Always has a room available. Comfortable beds. Nice and funky rooms/decor! Now they have Keurig coffe/tea maker in rooms, really awesome! They have an excellent free breakfast available. Great service, employees right there if you need anything. Close to Good Sam Hospital. More

We travel from Australia and have stayed at Northrup Inn four times now and have loved every visit. Close to everything and very comfortable. Staff are great and service is excellent - we have quite often ordered packages to be delivered to the hotel and they have always been in our room on our arrival. They have always looked after... So when the entire hotel staff decides to visit Australia, we can stay with you, right? ;-) We’re thrilled to be a part of your regular trips to the states and we’re always happy to help with packages and luggage the way you described. Thanks for the review and we look forward to next time! More

I normally stay in a B&B in Northeast or the Monaco downtown when traveling with my dog. This time I was dog-free and looking for a hotel near a wedding location and found this place. I love this hotel! The decor is really bright & cheerful, which is perfect when the view outside is gray so much of the year.... More

Congrats to the bride and groom and we’re glad to hear that your decision to give us a try was so rewarding! Anytime you’re flying solo (or at least with people rather than the pup), we’d be thrilled to have you back. Thank you for the great review! More

Not only is this hotel the coolest I have ever seen (pictures do not do it justice), it is incredibly convenient to anything you'd want to see in Portland. We stayed here only one night, and I wish that we had been able to stay longer. However, our flight home was very late in the evening of the day we... More

No *you’re* the coolest hotel ever! Err, the coolest hotel guests ever. Or something along those lines. :-) Thank you for the review and we’re always happy to handle the odd hours that people fly in and out of Portland, either by hanging on to your luggage or leaving the light on in the lobby until late at night. See... More

We have stayed several times in Portland in a variety hotels. We recently stayed at the Inn at Northrup Station and it will now be our go to place when we visit. The location is conveniently located between Nob Hill and the Pearl District with restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and the farmer's market within walking distance. If the walk seems... More

Thank you for the review and for telling your friends and family about us too! A huge percentage of our guests were actually referred by those that have already stayed with us and we love living up to the big expectations set by our regulars (which it sounds like you may now be!). We do want to be up front... More

We've stayed at this hotel often because we love the location. We can hop on the streetcar and be in the middle of the action in no time. There are several fine restaurants close by and within walking distance. You don't have to pay for parking and rooms are spacious with the King rooms having a full kitchen. However, the... More

Well shucks, we're sorry we didn't live up to your expectations this time around. We repainted the hotel in December, but since you've stayed with us many times maybe your eyes have simply gotten used to all our bright colors by now! ;-) And thank you for responding to the message we sent you, but if you could respond again... What a wonderful surprise. The Inn's web page doesn't do it justice. True, the furnishings are tres Jetsons but everything about this Inn is very well thought out and presented. Do not book your room with an on line site. Call the Inn for their best rate. It's a good value made better with a phone call. The rooms all... More

My friend and I stayed here 2 years ago and were delighted with the spacious room, fun and (dare I say) outlandish decor, the location within a healthy walking distance of downtown, free parking, funky neighborhood with unique restaurants, friendly desk people, breakfast included and streetcar tickets gratis. Trader Joe's right down the street. So when I was in Portland... More

You don’t need to dare... our décor is a smidge outlandish. Then again, if you’re into bright colors and all the other attributes you mentioned, then maybe it isn’t outlandish after all. Maybe it’s just right! Thank you for the review and we’ll see you next time! More

Stayed here in October 2011 after an earlier stay in 2008. Love this place. Great service, Big rooms with full kitchens, free wifi, free parking, free public transport into town, breakfast included and just love the location. Good restaurants within walking distance as well as funky shops. Will stay here again when next in Portland. More

When I made my first reservation, I had never been to or seen the Inn at Northrupp station, but the service was so friendly and authentic - not at all scripted - I thought that was a good sign. It only got better. Their rates are incredible for a "downtown" Portland hotel. The rooms are very spacious and the colors... More

We only pick the friendliest of people to work here, and even if we wanted to have everyone say the same thing, it’s difficult to have a standardized script when the hotel itself is so far from normal! We’re so happy to hear you’ve taken advantage of all the hotel and the neighborhood have to offer. See you next time! More
