Value inn is rather. the best part is that it's in downtown and really close to any transport and major attractions. Room was huge with a kitchen.

If you are looking for a cheap room, no frills and a very odd layout of the room and with the reviews, you probably want to think twice before checking into this place. It has close places to get to and fro, but over-all the other cheap motels in the area should-MUST be considered.

We showed up and reception was locked up. The website said 24 hour reception and we clearly stated our time of arrival.

It is not a hostel, yet has a couple of dorms rooms of 4-5 people. The rooms are very clean with towels and soap provided and for the price good value in Portland. The staff are friendly and there is a nice pub nextdoor that serves a mean pizza and had a great happy hour!

Affordable, handy to PSU and downtown Portland however very NO FRILLS. No coffee maker in room, No iron, No hair dryer, contrary to what the ad says this place has NO restaurant or bar.
