Me and my husband LOVE this place! We've been here for our honeymoon and babymoon and have come back since. The Aries family is oh so welcoming and involved just enough to make you feel like they're there if you need them but also give you your private space. We've stayed in the caravan both times and loved that it... More

If you want to experience the pleasantly funky, sustainable Portland, this is the real deal. If the thought of it is better than really experiencing it, book elsewhere. My extended family booked the whole farmhouse for a family reunion over a long weekend. Overall, it worked out really well since we really understood what we were booking and we booked... More

Tried to work my disappointment out with the owners, who refused to provide a partial reimbursement after failing to mention 1) They would not be on the premises and 2) The main house was being rented by a private party, therefore unavailable to someone staying in the caravan (in spite of advertising shared communal space on their website). Terrible customer... More

We stayed here in September 2014 and our experience was similar to Amanda B.'s. The place was not as it seemed in the photos displayed on their website. We never really met the owners, except with a "Oh, hello" while checking out. We expected more hospitality given the concept of the farm. The farm itself was a mess inside and... More

We stayed here last month upon recommendation for uniqueness from a friend who stayed a year earlier. Found it lacking in hospitality. Given the concept would have loved a tour but wasn't offered. Don't mind sharing a bathroom but needed a good scrub-- and hot water. Also given the front door is never locked wouldn't have minded a lock on... More

I stayed at Tierra Soul in early June based upon a recommendation from a person who had stayed there 18 months ago and had a good experience. Unfortunately, things appear to have gone downhill since then. There are two things I expect from guesthouse style accommodation - cleanliness and friendliness. Both were somewhat lacking. My room was comfortable and clean... More

The real deal if your down for the Portland experience. I am sure I have met the souls of the innkeepers before. They have two whip smart kids that are part and parcel of the inn. My wife and I both agreed this felt more like staying at a friends house except they don't trip when you roll in at... More

This is really staying in someone's house with them and their two children. It's okay. Kind of lacks privacy, is very noisy, and overpriced for what it is. Next time I would stay in a hotel or a full B&B that is a little more service-oriented, cleaner, and quieter. If you're looking to just stay in a room at someone... More

This was our first trip away from home with our 8 week old baby, and the Arias family were amazing. They made us feel instantly at home, gave us a crib for our little boy, and were a delight to be around. We stayed in both the caravan, and in the main house and can recommend both - quirky, offbeat,... More

We were looking for a weird Portland experience, for our first time to Portland, and this place fit the bill perfectly. We loved that the kids were running around, (sometimes screaming, sometimes telling us about the different kinds of tea they had made) early in the morning. We loved the small amount of time we spent with the family and... More
