The room was nice. We managed to catch the free shuttle from the airport. The location makes getting downtown of the free MAX LRT easy. The walk to the Convention Center is just 10 minutes or so. Unfortunately, I was billed for parking although we had no car. My email messages to get the bill straightened out came to naught.... more

At the Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown we do charge $10.00 per night for overnight parking. At check-in we provide a permit that identifies the vehicle to our security staff via a discrete code. The accounting staff has provided appropriate backup for the charge as requested by the guest. If we are in error I apologize in advance and will process...

Very good business focused hotel. My only gripe was that the WiFi service did not allow me to download VPN based emails. Food not too bad but there are much better restaurants downtown. Excellent staff in the bar. more

I checked into the Crowne Plaza after booking on Hotwire. On my train trip out here I lost my credit card. I had my wife fax a credit card letter of authorization to the hotel for my incidentals. She did and confirmed with the reservations manager that everything had been taken care of. I also called to double check. No... more

We deeply regret that this guest did not experience prompt, courteous, and superior amenities that my staff and I strive to deliver. At the Crowne Plaza Portland, our mission is exceptional service and comfort of all our guests regardless of their reservations origin. Immediately upon receiving his concerns (after reading the review on Trip Advisor after the guest’s departure), I...

Very nice hotel. Swanky lobby. Three efficient elevators to rooms. Very nice pool/spa area. Nice workout facility. Wireless internet free throughout the property. Dinner is expensive and not that great. But breakfast is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to downtown Portland. Rooms are comfortable. Nice TV's. Complimentary ear plugs, eye masks, mouthwash and... more

Hotel was recently renovated; was a Holiday Inn if I remember correctly. Staff is welcoming and attendent to a visitor's needs. We have stayed at this location 15+ times over the last six months. Resturant food is good, service is good. Room Service is not that overly priced and is a good valve. We have only stayed on either the... more

I think the only positive thing about this hotel was the great proximity to the Convention Center....hence the name. Other than that, we did not have a good experience at all. We were in town for a cheerleading competition being held at the convention center and the hotel that the rest of our team was staying at was sold out,... more

Booked this Crowne Plaza for our post Christmas stay in Portland via the Priority Club for $90 a night. Due to kitchen renovation, all guests were given FREE continental breakfast (otherwise $8.75 ppl) each morning. If I have to pay, I would say that is overpriced, due to limited choice of pastries. Wendy's, Burger King, and McDonald are just 2... more

I booked this stay through Hotwire and ended up paying less than half of what the average price posted here is, so very happy on that front. The hotel used to be a Holiday Inn, and that is why the outside is kind of crappy. I suspect that repainting is in the plans for this property, but probably hasn't happened... more

Booked this hotel over Thanksgiving on Hotwire. The hotel has a very good location, about a 2 minute drive into the Pearl District and not much longer to get downtown. On the outside, the hotel is rather crummy looking. It is adjacent to a few lower quality hotels and the building is rather old. That being said, inside, everything is... more

Stayed here for two nights, got a room on the top floor, facing downtown and the interstate 5. Our room as not very large but very nicely decorated, loved the beds. Very complete. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One issue was the noise of interstate 5, although the wind direction probably did not help (southerly from the highway to... more
