We arrived late expecting a room with a private bath. When we arrived, there was a mix up and we had a room with a shared bathroom. No worries; we have stayed here before and liked the hotel and its amenities (SOAKING POOL). We settled our things and went to the soaking pool. I let my wife go ahead as... More

We really enjoyed the quirkiness of this hotel. Reminded me of New Orleans. Loved the location. We enjoyed the music at Al's Den. Great soaking pool-hot tub after walking the city all day. The Bathrooms are in the hall but no big deal! They were always clean and vacant. There is some street noise on the Jakes restaurant side mostly garbage... More

The Crystal Hotel is basically a souped up hostel, posing as a boutique hotel. It's part of the McMenamins chain of historic hotels and breweries. Do your research before you plan on staying here so you know what you're getting into. Basically I only recommend this place for young hipsters. If you love beer, alternative music, weird haircuts, tattoos, beards,... More

I've never stayed in a place quite like this one, and it was wonderful! The room was so quirky and interesting, the musical theme was great. The rooms aren't huge, but they don't need to be. They are very comfortable and there is A/C. There is no TV in the room, but plenty of entertainment in the area. Bathrooms aren't... More

This hotel creates a special experience for its patrons, exemplified by each room being exclusive in design from hand painted murals, unique lamps, furniture, and color schemes. Set in the heart of the downtown's Pearl District, you have restaurants, retailers, entertainment, the weekend market, and permanent food truck communities within a short walk. Their salt water soaking pool, dim lit,... More

The Crystal Hotel is a quirky but comfortable boutique hotel in the Pearl District of Portland. It's very convenient, but not in the most charming part of town. The rooms are very small but comfortable, as long as you're okay with walking to the bathrooms in the hallway. We didn't find this to be too inconvenient - I would call... More

First I must say this is not your average hotel, and don't expect a brand name - hotel chain type feel. This is a funky hotel, with a very colorful past that must be part of your experience here. Consider this a very unique hotel, one that you may never come across again, but trust me it is worth the... More

Lovely and fun rooms. Totally unique, great staff. Gorgeous soaking pool downstairs (children welcome before a certain time). A little bit noisy from another bar downstairs, but comfy beds and charming rooms.

Maybe we are too spoiled with the comforts in a hotel. Having to share a restroom down the hall is too inconvenient when your over fifty. Air conditioning a plus but no TV bummer. Big city noise making sleep difficult. I guess we are too spoiled. Hotel clean but not worth the inconveniences. I'd rather be comfortable. I am on... More

This is THE place for those who want a full dose of the Portland vibe. One of a kind setting, quirky in the best sense of the word. An adventure in every corner and each room unique. Great location and terrific staff. The soaking pool was a blessing after long morning hikes and/or biking. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Multiple... More
