This is one of those rare B&B's that stands out from the rest and well deserves its equally rare perfect five star rating. A large 115 year old house on a hilltop, it has been lovingly restored to Victorian era elegance by the owners, Terry and Al, from what was apparently a very dilapidated condition when they bought it years... I can't say enough nice things about this bed & breakfast! The hosts, Terri and Al, are delightful people. The grounds are beautifully kept, with colorful flowers, topiaries, and both native and exotic (to me, anyway) trees. They renovated an older house and turned it into a homey, comfortable place to stay. The bedrooms are all on the top floor... More

My daughter surprised me with a fabulous 70th birthday trip, she from Maine and myself from South Carolina. Our accommodations at the Sands of Time B&B were outstanding. The hosts, amenities and beauty of the grounds and of course the most delicious gourmet breakfasts were more than anyone could ask for. Do not hesitate to make this a destination stay.

The only thing I can say is, do yourself a favor and stay here. The owners are kind and thoughtful and their home is beautiful. I will recommend Sandes of Time to everyone I know. We will be back for sure.

This was our first B&B experience and we couldn't have asked for better hosts! Terry and Al, the owners, do an amazing job of maintaining this beautiful home. The breakfast is made fresh and Terry rotates her dishes so you'll be served a different treat every morning. Her mini German pancakes with pear syrup is beyond delicious! The house itself... More

We had a wonderful 2 day stay at Sandes of Time B&B. We stay at B&Bs on a regular basis and have high standards. Sandes of Time met and exceeded our expectations. The grounds are beautiful!. It is a lovely setting to walk the grounds or sit on the porch with a glass of wine. The owners are super friendly... More

This 112 year old house sits above the road among 3 acres of lovely gardens. Each room offers its own bathroom and fireplace. Plumbing and electrical were recently completely updated, so no quirky issues exist that one might expect in an home of this age. We slept better in the Summer Garden room than at home. Very comfortable mattress. On... More

What a great place! A little concerned when we couldn't decide on an affordable hotel downtown but this turned out to be a real gem. Minutes from downtown (don't miss nearby Sellwood) and a perfect respite from the hot weather we had while visiting. The Winter Garden room was lovely and has the biggest and most unique bathroom we have... More

Other reviews have described this lovely B&B and so all we can add is to say that it was a perfect 5 night ending to our 5 week vacation from the UK to the USA. Great for visiting the big attractions Mt St Helens, Mt Hood, the Columbia River George and the Bonneville Dam and fish hatchery and the coastal... More
