We stayed at Everett Street for several nights while house hunting in Portland. Our stay became one aspect of our move which was absolutely stress-free. Guests' stays in Terry's beautiful, classic Portland home, have been planned to the smallest detail. After a quick tour of the "ins and outs", Everett Street is as comfortable as a guest's own home because... More

Our first trip to Portland included our first stay at a B&B. We liked many things about the Portland area but we LOVED our stay at Everett Street Guesthouse. The location was convenient and quiet, the cottage was welcoming and comfortable, and the proprietress - Terry - was attentive yet not intrusive. It was such a pleasure to have such... More

The Everett Street Guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay in Portland. Great location that is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood that is only a short walk to a variety of different types of restaurants, live music at lively venues and public transportation to the city center and museums. Terry is the perfect hostess .... She's always there when you... More

The Everett Street Guesthouse is, quite simply, a wonderful place to stay in central Portland. Terry, the owner of the guesthouse, puts much thought into making her guests feel at home; she is also very friendly and an interesting person to converse with. During our second stay at the guesthouse (April/May 2015), my partner and I rented the cottage, and... More

This was my first B&B stay and it was a last minute thing when my other plans fell through. Terry was so accommodating on such a short notice, and I couldn't be more delighted with my stay. She exceeded all of my expectations of how my stay would be, and as a result, now I may have very high expectations... More

This could have been a fantastic little holiday spot, were it not for the dismissive attitude of the owner. My partner and I are alternative looking, but well educated and polite. It was very obvious that we were not the type of English folk that were expected. We managed to have quite a nice holiday by not having to interact... More

I'm so sorry you felt I was dismissive or judged you in any way. I have all kinds guests at the inn and cottage from all walks of life, from all over the world, and certainly did not have any prejudices towards either of you. In fact you were easy to have as guests and left things in good order.... More

I loved my stay at the Everett Street Guesthouse! It's owner, Terry Rusinow, is such a wonderful hostess. I highly recommend getting the breakfast. You get a variety of different choices (I had delicious blueberry pancakes one day that were so light. Yum!) I truly felt like I was home and even mentioned that, too, when I was referring to... Everett Street Guesthouse is immaculate with tastefully decorated artful interiors. We stayed here for two nights recently in Sophie's room. The owner and innkeeper, Terry greeted us upon arrival, was very friendly and helpful throughout and made two incredible breakfasts while we were there. The poached eggs over hash-brown like vegetable patties with roasted red pepper sauce was delicious. I... More

My college aged daughter and I spent 3 wonderful nights at Terry's guesthouse. The entire experience was a real treat! The home is historic but so nicely renovated, decorated and maintained. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Each morning we awoke to a delectable breakfast; fresh coffee, outstanding selection of teas, fresh fruit, amazing pastries, poached eggs on organic toast,... From the time my mother got off the plane to the time we let her off at the departure gate, she was raving about her guest house. She came in with a cough, and a cold and left in perfect health. Arriving in a wheel chair, and departing at the gate, walking using her cane only for support. Walking her... More

Thanks so much Buddy, for your kind remarks. Your mother was extraordinary, so positive and upbeat even in the midst of being sick. I was glad she could have her own space in the studio cottage, but that she could have breakfast at the inn, which isn't the usual situation, but glad to do it for her. I'm sure even... More
