We recently had the pleasure of staying for 2 nights at The Nines in Portland. The hotel is located centrally and is situated atop the 7 floors of the Macy's building. In fact, many boutique shops and department stores are merely a stone's throw from the hotel. The entrance is understated and the reception is actually located on the 8th... More

Sweet Boutique Hotel in the center of it all. Fabulous Urban Farmer restaurant was delicious for breakfast and a late evening light bite. Room was small but ample and bathroom very nice done in marble. Service at the front desk and concierge was super attentive. A great place to stay for the week we were in Portland.

Wanted to impress the girlfriend, so I splurged on a five star hotel. The place is comfortable, tastefully decorated and well run. But it lacked common space or any real amenities. The room was small, dark and had no view. Felt like I paid double the price of comparable places next door (I did), just for the pleasure of having... More

Recently stayed at the Nines, what a hotel, centrally located in Portland the hotel is just beautiful. But what makes this hotel even greater is Marc Adrar's staff. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Augie who was so freindly and gave us an overview of the hotel and the surrounding neighborhood. Hannon at the front desk checked us into... More

We have stayed here many times. Mostly on weekends and we usually get upgraded to Club Level (I'm SPG Gold) and if not we always been upgraded to have Club Level Lounge Access. They serve free drinks all day and special drinks at happy hour and some great food. Awesome location, great rooms and great staff. One of our favs.

We had drinks and dessert at The Nines Hotel lobby in downtown Portland. Gorgeous decor, yummy desserts, nice service. Good views of the city from the roof. This is a Portland hotel that has been updated.

I won't give it 5 starts but it was a fun, different hotel. The corner room we were in with great views was great. Beds are great. Staff was great. The cafe in the lobby was really great for breakfast. Highly recommend their breakfast. It's a very different hotel, young 20-30 year olds with what I'd describe as "funky decor".... More

A Starwood hotel missing a few beats. Room service brought breakfast in on tray leaving table outside. When I requested the table as we needed it to eat server complied and rolled it in and left me to lift table leafs. Also when we checked in (lobby on 8th floor) desk person handed us keys told us elevators were around... More

We checked in here on the last night of our 10 day summer holiday. Admittedly we arrived too early so a wait was expected for our room. What we didn't expect was having to wait until 6:00pm to get our room. With two kiddos in tow this was nothing short of excruciating. They plied us with a food and bev... More

Our reservation was somehow lost in the SPG system so the check in agent flagged down Steve, a managerial level person. Steve resolved the issue and made us feel very welcome. Our room was nicely furnished, very clean and with a good view. The club amenities are great as well. Not much away from perfection.
