I stayed for three nights and was never dissapointed although you must know what to expect while staying at the school. I travel 50% of my work days and I can see how people who are used to the hussle and bussle style hotel with bellmen all over you could find the hotel a little too quaint. All of the... More

I stayed at the Kennedy School for two days, and it was easily the most relaxing part of my whole vacation. While the hallways could get a little loud (there are kids running around some of the time), once me and my boyfriend got into our room, we were in heaven. Our room had extremely high ceilings, the decor was... More

I stayed at the McMenamins Kennedy School with my wife, daughter and son-in-law, for two nights, in late May. The staff were extremely helpful, and gave us two rooms (classrooms) with an interconnecting alcove. The rooms are huge, with good beds, and a sitting area, furnished with sofas from the 50's. The bathroom had no tub, but did have an... More

Having booked a 1 night stay on the strength of reviews read in these columns my wife and myself were still a little sceptical about how such highly rated accommodation could be provided at such reasonable rates. We are still mystified. The overall experience was wonderful and if we hadn't been on such a tight schedule we would have stayed... More

A friend of mine who lives in Portland recommended the Kennedy School to us. We loved it. The rooms were clean, well decorated, and interesting. We stayed in the Tea Party room, which had passages from "Alice in Wonderland" painted around the room. We booked the Hammerhead package, which is available Sun-Thurs (I think). The food was great and the... More

This was such a fantastic destination hotel. I booked it for a night after a drive from Vancouver, and couldn't have been more pleased. There were two restaurants and a number of bars, although I took my meal and drinks in the theater while watching one of the movies that was playing that night in the theater. I'm crazy for... More

The Kennedy school is a nice place to stay AND eat. The rooms are large and airy. The staff is helpful and there are three bars to drink in. The food is not bad(perhaps they've upgraded since previous reviews). The beer is good. But it can be a bit disconcerting sleeping in an old school. It's a nice place to... More
