I booked this hotel based on reviews on TripAdvisor and wasn't let down. The hotel is a few yards away from the Red Line Light MAX Rail system which runs direct to / from Portland Airport and is an easy walk from Pioneer Court Sq and Downtown. On arrival check in was very friendly, welcoming and efficient and we were... more

Stayed because of a conference at another hotel a couple blocks away. Walkable. Hotel 50 is across the street from a 2-mile loop of a walking/running/biking path along the river. Hotel is accessible to light rail from the airport. Nicely located to walk around town. Room was comfortable, nice bed linens, enough room for 2 people. The windows open. The... more

Okay - first off - If you have a riverfront room the view is outstanding. That said, there are other properties on the water that provide more bang for the buck. The sunrise from any of the east facing rooms on a clear, crisp November morning humbles you. Staff on a Sunday night was cordial but ready to go home.... more

Very Clean, Very Nice Bedding & Great Robes! Great Staff! Easy access to free public transportation was a plus. The on-site restaurant ( H2O ) had great service & food (& overlooks the park & river area --- very pleasant!) more

we had a comfortable room, great bed and bedding, not overly large, but adequate, with better than average furniture. nice shower with a "rain" head, nice artsy touches in the lobby and by elevators. good restaurant, with a great view of the river, and good food. superior location, walking distance to everything in downtown portland, and steps from the light... more

It is a very nice hotel, and the location works in downtown, since it is so close to Pioneer Square, just a few blocks. I loved the trendy style, and the restaurant had great prices! more

The staff at this hotel is the friendliest and most helpful we have ever encountered. Service in the restaurant was wonderful and our meal was delicious. Location is convenient and the river view from our room was incredible. Comfortable bed, flat screen tv, and reliable free wi-fi make up for the smallness of the room. The parking fee is a... more

If you are a light sleeper, you should look elsewhere for a good night's sleep, but this is what you will miss: a view of the river with stunning sunrises silhouetting Mt. Hood, a very comfortable bed in a cozy, well-decorated room with a huge wall-mounted flat screen TV, a very clean bath with granite counters, gilchrest & soames bath... more

The overall design of this hotel makes you feel like you're in an upscale hotel for half the price. Our actual room seemed small and tight but the bed was SO comfortable and we spun the "small" as cozy since we spent Valentine's Day there. The huge flat screen TVs are very nice, but there can be a lot of... more

So if a hotel throws a flat screen on the wall and some upgraded bedding they think they can get $250.00 a night and call it self botique? This was the only room we could find in town due to the marathon. Room was drab- a piece of art might brighten it up. Will not return-way to much for what... more
