This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in with my infant daughter and husband. The staff was friendly and made every effort to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel offers a full hot-breakfast and very nice happy hour with free drinks (alcoholic and non) and snacks in the evening -- and, importantly for us, they... More

Embassy Suites was transformed from the historic Multnomah Hotel which hosted presidents and celebrities for decades. Lots of interesting history including airplanes that took off from the roof! The lobby is beautiful and charming and evokes an elegant aura of days long ago. Our suite was comfortable and well-appointed. Although we were on the top floor, our view was of... More

If you want to be in the heart of the city - this hotel is it! It is easy walking distance to Powell's Books, Voodoo Donuts,The Saturday Market, and the Pearl District. 10-15 minutes to Amtrak station, and 20 minutes to Moda Center. There is plentiful public transportation within a couple blocks. I read several reviews talking about the homeless... More

First, the valet option is great. I wouldn't try the "park yourself" option, though its cheaper because the decks around and even the surface lot choices are way too packed. Just have the valet manage it. They actually park your car in a building across the street from the hotel, so if you need your car out while you're staying... More

The location may be on the edge of the main part of the downtown area, but it is very convenient to most places in the downtown area and the MAX stop is only a few blocks away. It is a good hotel that is well situated for the business traveler and your needs.

We stayed two nights, mostly to visit the Columbia River Gorge. The suite was spacious and quiet, the service casual but thorough. The hotel is a surprise, unlike most Embassy Suites in being a historic building and quite elegant. A nearby restaurant was extraordinary! but other than that our experience of Portland was limited. A very good place to stay... More

We booked two nights, but only stayed one. We had a one bedroom with two queens and a living room. The windows were old and let in a lot of cold, damp air and a LOT of noise. Our living room faced Voodoo Doughnuts and the homeless shelter/camps. Throughout the night we could hear drunken discussions, emergency vehicles, and people... More

Stayed in their 3rd floor 2 RM SUITE-1 KING PURE ALLERGY FRIENDLY suite, nice and roomy. The bathroom is a bit small, definitely 1 person at a time and with some storage but mostly counter storage. It has a small coffee machine area with a refrigerator and microwave next to a work desk by the entrance. Great air conditioning, was... More

Rated the hotel as average, but the large majority of the hotel was beautiful, lobby, room, breakfast wonderful. Evening reception was great for drinks, but so-so on food. Unfortunately, the roll-away bed we had to use was squeaky and uncomfortable with broken springs. that kept my son up, and the squeaks kept me up. Overall poor sleeping experience for two... More

Great location for the market and near Voodoo doughnuts but..... ...if you don't need in/out parking, there are much cheaper rates nearby ($11 per day vs $27) ... they don't use fitted sheets on the beds which drives me nuts. There is no excuse for not taking this extra step for comfort. ... Wifi is not free in the rooms... More
