Now the Embassy Suites (once the old Multnomah Hotel) is an impressive old remodeled building with excellent, spacious rooms, a fun high ceilinged lobby, thick walls (quiet), friendly staff, a small but adequate pool and exercise facility and a superb breakfast included.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would recommend it to anyone. Accommodation in Portland is expensive generally, and this is by far the best value option. The staff were all courteous and pleasant, and Zannah, the concierge, excels at her job! The lobby is impressive as soon as you enter, having been greeted by the helpful and friendly valets... More

My husband and I just returned from a 4 day vacation on Portland where we found the Embassy Suites to be excellent. The front desk employees were knowledgeable and helpful about getting to attractions in the area and using public transportation. I had booked a king suite with the option of an upgrade for an extra $5.00 which we got.... More

From the moment we checked in with Mary (my 5 year old son remembered her name on check out 2 days later and wanted to know why she wasn't saying goodbye to us) to the moment we left, we couldn't have been happier. Mary helped us with maps, local info, hotel info, answered my questions about the gym, etc. The... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel this past Sunday night. Upon arriving by taxi, the door man took my luggage and opened the door for me. Right from the start, I felt like royalty. Having had an issue with a stolen credit card. Josiah, the front desk manager was extremely helpful and took away my fear of... More

What a bummer to have booked at this dive. The lobby is deceptive. Dungeon of a dining hall, so claustrophobic. Disgusting pool area, way too over chlorinated. Toxic gasses from newly installed rugs. Should have been informed of this when booking. Dark, gross furniture, could hardly wait to leave the next morning. Internet only available in the lobby. Seedy neighborhood,... More

We only stayed one night, using points. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. The Good: Greeted upon arrival by very friendly, outgoing, helpful staff - a nice beginning. The hotel is old, in a nice way, showing lovely original moldings, marble, lighting, etc. very nice lobby. I asked for the quietest room and was given an end of... More

I just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I was with the service I received when I visited the hotel this past week. I arrived on Thursday for a presentation I was to give Friday morning, joining my wife who had arrived on Monday. Because I was a last-minute substitute for another speaker, I did not have many of... Best accommodations in a long time, detailed and the best food served during the conference. Excellent breakfast in the morning with reasonable hours. Easy access to downtown, cultural events and shopping. Looking forward to returning with my family for the weekend.

Excellent restoration of the beautiful Multnomah - great accommodation and service. Rooms are spacious, in the heart of downtown. Close to many restaurants, food trucks, brew pubs, and Voodo doughnuts! Just don't order the seared Ahi tuna, mine was overcooked.
