The location may be on the edge of the main part of the downtown area, but it is very convenient to most places in the downtown area and the MAX stop is only a few blocks away. It is a good hotel that is well situated for the business traveler and your needs.

We stayed two nights, mostly to visit the Columbia River Gorge. The suite was spacious and quiet, the service casual but thorough. The hotel is a surprise, unlike most Embassy Suites in being a historic building and quite elegant. A nearby restaurant was extraordinary! but other than that our experience of Portland was limited. A very good place to stay... More

We booked two nights, but only stayed one. We had a one bedroom with two queens and a living room. The windows were old and let in a lot of cold, damp air and a LOT of noise. Our living room faced Voodoo Doughnuts and the homeless shelter/camps. Throughout the night we could hear drunken discussions, emergency vehicles, and people... More

Stayed in their 3rd floor 2 RM SUITE-1 KING PURE ALLERGY FRIENDLY suite, nice and roomy. The bathroom is a bit small, definitely 1 person at a time and with some storage but mostly counter storage. It has a small coffee machine area with a refrigerator and microwave next to a work desk by the entrance. Great air conditioning, was... More

Rated the hotel as average, but the large majority of the hotel was beautiful, lobby, room, breakfast wonderful. Evening reception was great for drinks, but so-so on food. Unfortunately, the roll-away bed we had to use was squeaky and uncomfortable with broken springs. that kept my son up, and the squeaks kept me up. Overall poor sleeping experience for two... More

Great location for the market and near Voodoo doughnuts but..... ...if you don't need in/out parking, there are much cheaper rates nearby ($11 per day vs $27) ... they don't use fitted sheets on the beds which drives me nuts. There is no excuse for not taking this extra step for comfort. ... Wifi is not free in the rooms... More

We stayed two nights in the Embassy Suites Portland in Aug 2014. We were greeted by a friendly valet, but preferred to self park. No problem. We were allowed to unload and drop off the car in the garage. A little tricky to get to the entrance, but the staff person explained that to us ahead of time. Friendly staff... More

Large and comfortable hotel, well positioned for downtown Portland offering family suites at a reasonable rate. On the plus side you have the location, and convenience of being in the centre of town. Read the history panels to find out who has stayed here over the years; the list is endless and full of surprises. The problems include the location... More

Expensive but with it for the location and suite set up. We were traveling with our 9 month old so the suite was a big help. Location is near VooDoo donuts, the Saturday market, countless food trucks, Stumptown coffee, lots of great restaurants (Mother's Bistro is a must) and close to highways. Yes it is pricey but save some money... More

This is a good, old-school, full service hotel in a great location. If you'd like a break from modern and uber luxe hotel decor that seems to be the standard of hotel interior design these days, this is the place. The beautiful early 20th century architectural details in the lobby to the traditional styling in the rooms make the hotel... More

You wrote such wonderful, kind words about us and the Multnomah Hotel, KFBinEC, I am not sure a simple “thank you” will suffice. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We have the unique distinction of being one of only two historic properties in the Embassy Family in the U.S. The hotel has been a beacon of hospitality and gathering since... More
