First off, the front desk staff was very considerate and pleasant. The hotel itself is a bit older and dated. There is some type of upgrade going on but they haven't hit our room yet. The cable tv is intermittent and wifi is free and slow. Room does does have fridge, microwave, iron, and safe, but no hairdryer. The bathroom... More

This was a nice motel. Looks sketchy from the outside, but it's because it's old. Rooms and very clean, but small. They were in the process of remodeling when we were there, so I'm not sure what they will look. The owners are very nice and helpful.

The room is small and pretty much what you expect from a budget motel. The room I stayed in (I only stayed one night) was clean, but a bit worn. There was only a shower stall and the bathroom was small. For just myself this worked out, it was more affordable and quieter than the other nearby place to stay... More

The person at the front desk at first served quirky, humorous even and nice. After some repartee it became apparent that he is arrogant and acerbic. The first room we tried had outlets that did not operate properly. One seemed to bow a lightbulb suggesting a possible electrical shortcoming. The other outlet was a power bar that did not offer... The Eastside Lodge is an older motel but is well kept. The owners are very cordial and helpful. The room was clean and I got a good night's rest. There were sparse amenities in the room and no coffee maker. Restaurants, brew pubs, delis are nearby plus some nice little shops. I liked the location and will stay at the... More

Only in town for 1 night so was looking for a cheap place as close to the centre as possible, and this place was perfect! About 15 mins walk across the bridge to all the restaurants and bars. The room itself was clean, spacious, with a HUGE comfy bed. Free wifi too! Parking seeemed safe and secure, and unlike some... More

This was a decent place to stay at a decent price. It could use updating and some better repairs, but then the price wouldn't have been as reasonable. The room was clean. The front desk people weren't overly friendly, but they weren't rude either. The wifi worked fine. Breakfast isn't included, but I think they had coffee in the lobby.... More

This hotel was perfectly fine as far as management, room and price. But I was without a car, knowing Portland's great public transportation system. It was fine during the day, though I did a lot of walking from the hotel, instead of waiting for the bus, but at dinnertime, when it was dark out, the choice of restaurant close by... More

It's just a motel really, but the prices are better than what you'd pay downtown. And if you don't mind a 15 minute walk you can be downtown quickly. The area is a mixture of the old and the new and hipster. You want a traditional dark bar with Coors Light? Check. Or a modern brewery with nouveau cuisine? Check.... More

This place is old and rough around the edges, but earns my five stars because FOR THE MONEY, it is a fantastic find. I paid less than $100 per night. The rooms are clean. Mine had a small fridge and microwave. No coffee maker, so if you must have your coffee the minute you wake up, bring a mug and... More
