I thought this would be an old, worn-out in-town motel. Happily, I was wrong. It is newly remodeled so the rooms are small and a little old-school but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a fun and trendy part of town. We ate Thai at a food wagon parked across the street and had a drink at... More

While it is located on the "Eastside" of the river that divides Portland down the middle (Portland's attractions are mostly on the Westside), my stay was quiet, near good restaurants and easily navigate-able to downtown Portland. While the hotel itself isn't 'sparkling' or 'fancy', it is humble and satisfying. Looks like mostly a cinder block building with old fashioned 50's/60's... More

I stayed here primarily because of its location near the downtown and its reasonable price. And I made the right decision. It was a comfortable hotel. There were only a few drawbacks - the bathroom was a little small - but ok; there was no coffee/tea in the room, I had to walk to the main office to get it.... More

+ OVERALL: Great, clean budget hotel. We would definitely stay again.. + WELCOMING STAFF: Previous reviews listed unfriendly staff. Our staff was the complete opposite. Check in and check out staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating. I had to call and appreciated that during my initial call the staff person asked me to call back in an hour or so... More

Checked in with very pleasant staffs who gave very precise directions and information. One of the best beds that I have slept in for a long time. Room was very tight with 2 Queen beds. Facilities were very good and very clean. Good place to stay as the price was very good.

If you are picky about having fancy, quiet surroundings, the Eastside is not for you. But if you are looking for a clean room, within walking distance to many restaurants, breweries and stores in what appears to be a developing neighborhood, then you will appreciate the Eastside. Although there is a "gentlemen's club" right across the street, there are many... More

80ish bucks a night on a summer weekend in Portland is what brought us here. The location is easy walking distance from old town and downtown and there are plenty of good eating and drinking spots just a block away. It was also very easy to get here driving in from out of town (literally freeway exit and you are... More

Stayed here one night, would again to keep costs down. Clean but dated rooms. Plumbing was a little iffy, hot water went out multiple times during morning showers. Staff was friendly. Elevator was a little old and small. Weird nightclub on the corner. Really great restaurant and music spot across the street called doug fir, along with a couple other... More

Very dated. Musky odor when walked into room. Thin walls right next to karaoke place that seemed to jam all night. No handicapped rooms. Very small shower. If you want to be down the street from the Burnside Brewery so you don't have to drive home after drinking it fits the bill. The beds were clean.

Well priced and in a good location to walk over into town. The room had a bit of a smell to it, kind of like bleach. You didn't notice it after a while. The room was clean, in a good area. The room could get a little noisy on weekends when other tenants were coming home late, but otherwise it... More
