The Marriott City Center is strategically located in the Triangle of fun formed by Voodoo Donuts, Powell's Books and the Portland downtown Farmers market. What more could you ask for? It's an upscale property, but really not at the top of the luxury pile, even though some of their pricing will reflect that aspiration. We book when we can get... More

I would give this hotel an excellent on most things. It's in a great location, the staff is excellent, the rooms are large, quiet, and nice. Great concierge lounge. Only drawback for me was the mattress - like sleeping on a table. Very hard to sleep much.

Thank you for your gracious review! We're very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our service and location. We will most definitely look into the mattress situation as we recognize the fact that a comfortable night's sleep is one of the foremost reasons our guests choose Marriott over other brands. Please accept our apologies for not meeting your expectations. More

Stayed here last sunday as a quick getaway. The decor was great and fresh. Our room was sandwiched between the housekeeping closet and the staira. A bonus because it meant that it was super quiet. I did utilize the business room to make a flight update because I was having connectivity issues in my room. The major down side was... More

I really don’t have too much to say about this hotel, it was unremarkable which in many ways is just fine. The rooms were clean, with lots of hot water and lots of power points for electronics. The hotel had a valet parking and security for the evening. It was just fine, and that is fine by me.

There are a lot of reasons I pick Marriott hotels, one is the consistency of the quality of the beds. They’re always comfortable and I always have a good sleep. This particular location, we were given a room with a bed that had a plastic mattress cover, not the usual feather bed. Apparently this was an allergy friendly room stripped... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I would like to apologize for the inconveniences and inconsistencies that you experienced at our property. I am not sure why you were put in one of our allergy free rooms if you did not request it. That is very unusual. I will have my front desk put it in... More

We have stayed here many times and always had a great experience. Staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and spotless and the location is excellent. We usually self park at the Bank of American parkade across the street. It has a 24 hour attendant and is reasonably priced.

Its a Marriott. Its a little pretentious. The room is nice and clean, the bed comfortable. The TV is nice. The $39 a night for parking is a bit much and any hotel of good measure doesn't charge for wifi anymore, really. For the price of the room, nickel and dime'ing you is just silly. I'll pick more carefully next... More

Fresh and clean hotel in downtown Portland. Easy access to MAX and street cars as well as numerous buses. My only complaint with the hotel is that the doors are very loud as they slam shut. I would be sound asleep when my neighbors would come in and be jolted awake as the doors suddenly slam. I am confident this... More

We valet are car on arrival each time, as you really do not need it. Everything is within easy walking distance. Strolls along the river to shopping downtown, on Broadway, in the Pearl, or one of the many wine and beer stops. Rooms are clean, well maintained and staff are friendly and helpful. See you again in May
