The rooms were top notch and nicely appointed. We requested down free bedding and foam pillows which were promptly delivered to our room. The lo by is beautiful. They were serving a lovely brunch on the second floor but we were meeting friends in the city. Great stay.

I booked here as a recommendation for the location for an event I was attending. Planned to stay two nights. Got in, went to what they call the "Fitness Center". What a dive Zero wifi, no service at all was available. Machines headphones all were broken and the machines are beat to death. There is no other equipment and it... More

I was in Portland on business. The front desk staff did everything possible to ensure my comfort during my stay. Their recommendations for good boutique coffee houses and places to eat were spot-on. The hotel's restaurant served a wonderful seafood omelet for breakfast. It was rather expensive, but the fish was fresh and the omelet well prepared. The hotel is... More

Really great location for everything Portland has to offer; short easy walk in all directions to Saturday Markets, Voodoo Donuts, Powell's books etc. Rooms are a really good size and clean. Only issue with my stay is I requested early check-in and had 2 rooms. The first was available at 10am (great!) and I kept getting the run-around on when... More

You get exactly what you expect from a standard Marriott in a city center. Comfortable room, good service, slightly above average price. I liked the place, but will probably try one of the more interesting boutique hotels in Portland next time.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. I have stayed for business and pleasure and would recommend this hotel for the location, cleanliness, and comfort. The rooms are nice size, and very comfortable. The beds are great and the staff is very accommodating. There is valet parking which is nice to have in Portlands' unpredictable weather. It is in... I was a little disappointed with my overall experience at the Marriott last week the front desk couldn't figure out how to waive the Wi-Fi charges when our sister hotel was the downtown waterfront Marriott and everybody at the conference was getting free Wi-Fi I also had an issue with my safe where it was locked and they couldn't help... This is a very nice hotel in a historic building in the center of Portland. The room was large and quite comfortable. Food was good and restaurant staff great! However, a question about charges that were incorrectly added to the bill led to an unacceptable and unprofessional response by the Manager on Duty. We were essentially called liars. When I... More

We arrived in the evening via the Max and got off at the wrong stop for this Marriott. .tricks for tourists! Apparently there are a few Marriott hotels in the city. Arrival overcame these issues. Staff were lovely. Room great. Restaurant very acceptable.

I spend 100+ nights per year in hotel rooms and travel to Portland regularly. All employees I encountered were professional and friendly. Building and public areas are well cared for. Rooms are spacious, tasteful, comfy and functional. Location is ideal for all downtown activities. Regrettably there were a few issues during this trip that need to be addressed. Maid service...
