My husband and I had never stayed at a B&B before, so we didn't know what to expect. The owner, Mary, really made us feel at home. When we arrived, there was a fire going and fresh-baked Marionberry pie. We dined across the street at the local pub. The food was good and reasonably priced. We stayed two weeks in... more

We stayed for two nights at The Old Parkdale Inn. However long you stay, I think it’s probably not long enough. Parkdale is perfectly situated between Mt. Hood and the Columbia Gorge – there is no end to the activities and magnificent scenery available to you here. Mary is an extremely talented B&B hostess, which is what makes a stay... more

Following other advisor's recommendations, we stayed for a couple of nights at the old inn in Parkdale, a tiny town south of Hood River and the Fruit Loop of orchards. Somehow my reservation acknowledgment didn't get processed properly, but the B&B owner, Mary, made a few adjustments and provided the Monet room (with kitchenette) in the upstairs lodging. Bedroom is... more

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nite stay and hospitality provided by Mary, Steve and Tilly. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the aroma of freshly baked brownies. Tilly was such a well behaved dog and the kids really enjoyed her company. Steve was kind enough to start up a camp fire where we relaxed till late evening. Rooms were tastefully done... more

We had a wonderful two-night stay in the beautifully renovated Old Parkdale Inn. We stayed in the Georgia O'Keeffe room, which was both spacious and comfortable (it even included a small kitchenette). The first thing that the eyes see when waking up in the morning is the splendid silhouette of Mount Hood just a few miles away; this breathtaking view... more

I am very surprised to read a review just three months ago saying that the rooms were not spacious and that there was no communal sitting area. We sat in a communal sitting area inside, and there were also several offerrings outside. We had two of the three rooms available, so I can't speak for the third, but the O'Keefe... more

You won't be disappointed staying in this lovely inn in the foothills of Mount Hood. The dog-friendly property is large and invites exploring. Mary is gracious and provides an excellent breakfast for her guests in her newly remodeled kitchen and dining room. Future guests can look forward to exciting improvements to this B&B. more

The Old Parkdale Inn was a wonderful introduction to Oregon for my husband and me. Mary Pellegrini, the Innkeeper, was warm and most congenial. The breakfasts that she served were delicious. We visited Parkdale to attend a wedding. There was extra time to explore the nearby sites. Mary provided many suggestions for us to get a "taste" of the local... more

My husband and I stayed at Old Parkdale Inn in August 2008. We stayed in the Gauguin room which is incredibly beautiful: bright, sunny, spacious. Old Parkdale Inn is very close to the mountain which makes it a perfect location. We also enjoyed the breakfast with fresh fruit and warm scones. Mary (owner) was most helpful: she brought out a... more
