The Old Parkdale Inn is the place to stay if you are in the Hood River area. The hosts, Mary and Steve make you feel right at home. Our room was perfect and had everything we could imagine. Breakfast was over the top in my book and was worth the trip right there. The perfect place to relax and enjoy... More

Stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. Enjoyed having the suite to spread out. The Doug Fir suite has a view of Mt Hood! This is right on the "Fruit Loop" so would be great during harvest season. Breakfasts were a highlight. City folks should note that the local restaurants close early in the evening (drat!)

Mary and Steve are so friendly and welcoming. Their home is at the base of Mt Hood and has a front row view of all it's majesty. We stayed in the Douglas Fir room and it also had a view of the mountain. Within walking distance are a few restaurants and a small local grocery store. Their dog Tilly is... More

What a great spot nested in the mountains. Mary and Steve (Tilly too) were gracious and friendly like family. The enire place is calming and charming and to top it off Mary's a fabulous cook. My four day day visit in the Douglas Fir two room suit was one of the most relaxing stays all year. Sitting by the fire... More

B&B run by very friendly folks. Some rooms have a view of Mt. Hood. The beds are great, the breakfasts outstanding. We've been there a few times, will return. If you have a canine family member s/he will be welcome in one or two of the rooms. Very nice grounds as well.

My fiance booked us a romantic weekend in the Hood River area where we stayed with the generous owners of the Old Parkdale Inn. While there is not much to do in Parkdale, the area as a whole is wonderful and a great place to putz around for an extended weekend. Unfortunately, I ended up being extremely ill with a... More

We stayed in this inn 2 days while we explored the Columbia Gorge area, which is breathtaking. The inn is an easy drive to Hood River, which has some very nice restaurants and shops, and to all the fruit stands, wineries and Mount Hood itself. Here are the good things about the Inn: great location, comfortable bed, hosts that more... More

Our policy is to tidy rooms and switch out towels every day unless our guests tell us not to bother. I am so sorry if I forgot. Two years ago we remodeled every one of our rooms, new paint, rugs and beds. We did choose evergreen colors for the Doug Fir Suite to stay with the rustic theme of Oregon's... More

We stayed in this lovely B&B for three nights while enjoying time in the Hood River area. Mary and Steve were terrific hosts and made sure we maximized our time in the area. Mary was especially helpful with local knowledge to further our hiking experience and enjoyment. The inn is delightful, the birds on the grounds added to our stay,... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights to do the "fruit loop" which is a 35 mile drive of wineries, orchards, farm stands, etc. The Inn was very relaxing with as much interaction and peace as you wanted. The hostess Mary was very nice, full of information and readily available to chat when wanted. However, we also were... More

Beautiful serene location in the middle of the Hood River Valley with great views of Mt. Hood. Much to explore: fruit orchards, wineries, produce stands and forests all around. Very nice accommodations, friendly, helpful hosts and delicious breakfasts prepared to meet special dietary requests. Peaceful back yard sitting area with a pond and good birdwatching opportunities.
