If you are going to Oceanside, do yourself a favor and book this Bed and Breakfast. Everything about it was perfect. The view is beautiful and you can listen to the sound of the ocean as you drift off at night. It is a very short walk to the beach. Jane and Don were wonderful hosts and made us feel... More

I spent 2 wonderful nights at Turtle Jane's. Hosts Jane & Don were very welcoming and provided deliciously bountiful breakfasts. My room, Tortuga, was beautiful and very comfortable with a fabulous view from the private deck. Easy walk to the beach. Oceanside is a quiet little 'town' - but close enough to enjoy other interesting attractions such as Manzanita, Cape... More

This B&B has two very handsome rooms; we stayed in the Tortola room. It was well appointed and the lovely travertine bathroom had both a shower and a claw foot tub. Our room was both beautiful and exhibited an approachable coastal character, had a very comfortable bed, and cookies were waiting for us on arrival. The ocean was right out... More

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Turtle Jane's Bed and Breakfast, owned by Jane and Don Sandquist. We found the accommodations to be updated, beautiful and welcoming - the view was spectacular from our room. We stayed in the Tortola room, but either room is perfect. (You'll love the warmed bathroom floors.) Jane has loved turtles of all... More

I came to the beach for a much needed rest and I got that in spades plus fantastic food, a beautiful view and incredible hosts. I loved walking on the beach and hiking to the lighthouse and waterfall. The bed was comfy and I fell asleep listening to the ocean and slept longer than usual every night. Every day was... More

I am not a big fan of bed and breakfasts but our stay at Turtlejanes was wonderful. Don and Jane are warm and welcoming hosts. Jane's breakfast is a feast and each element of it a perfection. The room is very spacious and well appointed. The remodel is top notch. You have your choice of a room with a tub... More

This is my first time ever staying at a Bed and Breakfast and after staying with Don and Jane I'm sold. Our time at Turtlejanes was wonderful they are incredibly warm host and eager to please. The gourmet breakfast each morning was delicious. The bed was warm and cozy and the heated floors in the bathroom was a luxury. We... More

This well-remodeled B&B combines gracious hosts, wonderful food, great view, and better-than-home comfort. It was perfect for a stormy day, lounging and enjoying the view along with the afternoon snack. The next day we and our paragliding friends had better weather and soared the same hillside.

I don't think we should give 5 stars to a place that met expectations and was just good. But Turtlejanes has to be the best place in Oceanside: Newly remodelled, excellent shower, comfortable room with three west faces windows. Enthusiastic hosts, very set on being the best. Large gourmet breakfast, cookies in room. Fascinating decor, even if you aren't charmed... More

I had been here before when Judy had the Sea Rose B&B at this location. Was pleasantly surprised at the major renovations and delighted with the new owner, Jane, who goes by "Turtle Jane." It was wonderful to wake up to the sounds of the ocean. Both rooms have a spectacular ocean view so you can lay in bed and... More
