I am maybe being generous with a 5 rating, but since my husband and I would gladly return, it seemed only fair. We booked the 'Antique' room for 2 nights and while the room was rather small and the fireplace 'fake', the balcony with 2 chairs, a table and the best view ever made it a great stay. in April,... Thanks very much for your great review! We have several other rooms that are bigger and that have real fireplaces as well. We're very happy you enjoyed your stay at Moolack Shores and we look forward to seeing you again soon! More

We stayed here on our road trip through Oregon and found this by luck. We stayed in the king room, king bed and a suit of armour, what more could you need! Great view from our balcony and the room came with everything you could need. Easy to get into Newport for dinner etc. Highly recommend.

Just don't do it. The beds are hard as a rock. the walls are paper thin. There was soap left in the bathtub from the previous tenant. and there was dust everywhere in that room. There was a rave party is down the street from where we were staying we got kept up all night long. I tried to get... More

We are very sorry that there was a loud party down the road from the motel while you stayed with us. We have never experienced anything like that in the 10 years we have owned Moolack Shores. We don't understand why the police didn't respond to your calls either. There was not much our managers could do about this situation... More

Just stay here. Theme rooms decorated in early garage sale. Ocean view. Fireplace. Cozy. Great price. Bohemians, artists, free spirits and former hippies you will love it . We had the "racer room" with skis on the ceiling and a sled on the wall. Our friend had the movie room decorated with everything from a GWTW movie poster and a... More

Had a great time at Moolack Shores Motel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The view from my room was outstanding. I stayed during the off season so their beach was pretty much all mine. I love my stay and given the opportunity I will go back for another wonderful stay!

We found this place by complete accident, but we are SO glad we did. The room we stayed in was the Nautical room. Perfect for a family of 4. The staff are personable and friendly. We will most definitely be back!! If you're looking for a diamond in the rough, this place is it!!

Trip Advisor had great reviews so I tried it. Room was cute (if a bit tacky), clean and had a fridge, mini kitchen and a comfortable bed. I was in the Hawaii room which had a fabulous view of the ocean. At sunset got some fabulous photos and looking down the row of balconies saw everyone out with their cameras!!... More

Overall this place was really cute. I stayed in the western room & it was decked out with plenty of cowboy items. Lots to look at and the view of the ocean was awesome. Probably needs a bit of deep cleaning, so I would say if you can look past that, it's a neat place.

We selected this motel based on TripAdvisor reviews and weren't disappointed. On the plus side, the motel has outstanding views of the ocean, plenty of charm, and is quiet and very clean. Each room has a theme and we were in the Racer room which is wood paneled and features all sorts of racing memorabilia and decorations - sailboat, skiing,... More

We wanted to make a side trip to the coast around Newport whilst staying in Portland. Friends suggested either the Moolack Shores or the Inn at Otter Crest. We chose Moolack Shores as the Inn at Otter Crest is partly a conference centre and Tripadvisor reviews suggested that regular guests didn't fare too well. After looking at the room location...
