Our room was very nice; It had a wonderful view of the ocean and a small balcony. The room was large and clean. My only complaint is that we were told there was a continental breakfast included with the conference, however it was VERY limited. No fresh fruit, yogurt or juice was offered. Just bagels & cream cheese, muffins, coffee... more

The hotel has a great view from some of the rooms, others face over the parking lot. There is no air conditioning for hot summer days, but heating for cooler days. The hotel and decor seems to be old, but is kept clean. more

I do try to find something positive about the motels/hotels we stay in. This was our third stay at the Agate Beach and it will be our last. The staff at the front desk are rude. The couple that manage the small coffee/gift shop are very pleasant. The wait staff in the restaurant are great. Professional, friendly and fun. They... more

It's just your basic best western, but over priced! Beautiful views, if u book a ocean front room. The balconies are very small. We woke up every morning w/ backaches fron the beds. Housekeeping is fair, in my opinion. They probably have alot of rooms to clean, and just rush through each day. Our tv & stand looked loke it... more

To get to the beach two grandparents and child had a long walk over sand dunes, probably fun for some but not us. Hotel plush, room nice but not spacious, beds comfortable, everything clean. Tub didn't drain well. Highlight was drinks and meal in outside grill--great food, view and service. Nice pool, convenient parking, all hidden away off main drag. more

Arrived at the hotel without my confirmaiton number. Usually not a problem when there are rooms in the inn. But, I stepped into the line of a lazy and subsequently ULTRA rude registration desk attendant. She told I had no reservation, when I did. She couldn't find it due to their error of entering my name incorrectly. 30 seconds of... more

It seems to be a kind of signature for BW to have poor quality matresses. It was not the first time during this trip and could drive us to avoid this chain in the future. more

We always try to find 3 star or better Best Western's while traveling - the Agate Beach Inn lives up to the rating and more. Beautiful views, helpful and efficient clerks, bartenders and waitress, nice view, very clean and wonderful room service. We had an ocean view room, so nice to have breakfast room service and watch the waves. The... more

What a disappointment it was when we arrived. The hotel looked tired and outdated. You entered the hotel on the 2nd floor. We were given a queen bedroom on the 6rd floor facing the car park which was on 2 levels (1 accessible via a walkway from the 6th floor and 1 outside the front doors of the hotel). The... more

My wife and I were traveling along the coast for her birthday and she just loved the Oregon Aquarium so we figured we would find a Best Western someplace close, because a BW hasn't let us down yet. When pulling in you meet a charming lobby and some friendly staff. The check-in was quick (thats what I love about traveling... more
