The room was large and clean but a little outdated. The manager, Deborah, was very accommodating and worked diligently to make sure we were comfortable. She went above and beyond to get us a hair dryer when requested. Excellent service. The rooms do need updating though.

I hate giving bad reviews. I never give bad reviews. And even this one I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Sigh. Pros: - Location - I like location. In between the aquarium and brewery, both are in walking distance. There is also a convenience store nearby. And hop over the bridge and go to one of the best beaches... More

Pros: Larger rooms than you usually see in Motel 6 (we've stayed in five in the last two weeks) - important when traveling with kids and a dog! Gas fireplace in room Fridge and microwave Cons: No air conditioning. The room was easily fifteen degrees warmer than the hallway. We slept with the window open (no screen on it). The... More

While renovating a house in Seal Rock, I stayed at the Motel 6 in Newport, because everything else in town was booked. Lucky me. I wasn't expecting anything over the moon, of course, but during the summer, I was expecting at least some form of air conditioning in an overnight stay. Some rooms may feature that at the Motel 6,... More

Across the street from Rouge Brewery and a short drive to the Aquarium. It's located next to the bridge so going over to the bay front area is quick and easy. Rooms are very outdated but we were told they are in the early stages of a remodel. Also we got the King bed room and were surprised they had... More

Stayed two nights with out family of five plus our Yorkie (kiddos aged 10, 7, and 5 months). Super clean, first hotel that hasn't grossed me out in years, even nicer ones (slightly germaphobic). Plenty of room for the older kids to play quietly and also to have things in the room (stationary jumper) to keep the little one happy... More

I stayed here for a couple days and there was a guy on the roof fixing a hole in the rain. What a dedicated employee and even polite to talk to. Front desk guy was ok but the roofer seemed to care more for the place and the guests.

Don't bother unless there's nothing else around. No info. book in room with tv schedule to go along with old tv. No clock, no coffee pot, no ac, no pool, no working Vending machine, and no one in office after about 10 pm. Talk about all this remodel on the Web sight but walk into the room and step back... Excellent location for the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival. Great hospitality and customer service. Great price for a King-Suite during a busy time for the location. The King-suite had a huge jaccuzi. Formerly was the Inn at Yaquina Bay, but is now the Motel 6. We had some difficulty finding the place due to the name change, but we found... More
