Spots are so close together. I have a 24 foot and had to park my car sideways so it would not be in the road. They have stupid rules like not leaving your dogs unattended at any time. They are Very Strict about the 5 mph speed through the park. No campfires after 10pm. This includes inside the RV while... More

Ranger was so helpful at check in..let us know what sites were still open. The park was very full but still had choice of what site we wanted. Everything is so well taken care of and clean. We loved being able to walk to the beach. We will be staying here again. There is always something to do. So much... More

We had a very enjoyable stay, the park is lovely and restful. We made our reservations by phone with Thousand Trails and the process was quick, easy and painless. Check in was also quick and easy; the Ranger was helpful, friendly and efficient. He even came by as we were hooking up to be sure we were OK, and didn't... More

I am a member and I love staying on the south side near the dog park. there is rain and mud some places but it is coastal oregon. I love the sites, you have all the privacy you could want. You can have neighbors right next to you but never even know it due to the trees. campsites have picnic... More

Took our new to us RV to whalers rest. Had a wonderful time. The resort is very clean, wonderful indoor pool. The jacuzzi was hot, but jets were being repaired. It is mushroom season, so we did a nice hike, and shot some very interesting pictures of fungi. Many species I've not seen before. Everyone was friendly, and just a... More

South end is the section reserved for non memberships in this park. It's getting run down from a lack of maintenance. The dog run was unusable because it is never mowed and the grass was taller than the dog. Gravel interior road becomes a puddle ridden, slippery, soggy greasy and muddy mess for human and animal to negociate when it... More

Made a reservation a month in advance and was advised by employee that they don't hold spots but there would be a good chance that I would be able to park next to a friend that was traveling with us. Upon arrival, we checked in and was told to drive through the park and find a spot. We drove around... More

We got a membership for Thousand Trails when we purchased our trailer so we have been going to as many of these parks as possible to determine if we will renew. We stayed at Whalers Rest for the week. They had lots of activities for the kids and the staff were very friendly. However, this is an older campground and... More

The price is great and the amenities are endless. Indoor hottub, pool, and restrooms, showers, ping pong, pool table, Internet room, laundry, cable, puzzles, dog run, volley ball, basket ball, football, tennis, beach access, and I could go on and on. The RV space was on cement... Great 2 day stay!!
