We just moved to Portland and I wanted to do a quick "scouting" trip to the Oregon coast and picked Newport as it had the most to do it seems. I only did one night so I can't give a lot of details, but overall it got the job done nicely. Large size room slept a family of four easily.... More

My wife and I stayed three nights during spring break week. Was very impressed with everything but internet access. I believe they were working on the problem as I overheard an employee say they would probably change Internet provider. Rooms were spacious and very clean. All rooms have balconys and I spent a lot of time on it watching for... More

We just got back from a 2-night stay with our two children. We got the 'spring break' rate which is higher than normal, natch. But all things considered I wasn't disappointed. Nice location on a quiet stretch of beach with a view of the lighthouse. Nye Beach is very quaint and shops and restaurants are walking distance. The room was... More

Stayed here one night. Walked in and asked for AARP rate and lady at front desk said they could do better then that. Got the room for $119.00 (rate before taxes).Had ocean view king room. Room well decorated and up to date. Due to the time of year, weather wasn't that great so ocean view couldn't really be appreciated. Place... More

Nothing to complain about, very clean and nice room. Bed very comfortable, I don't know why people complain about the breakfast, There was more than just scones, and boiled eggs! Hot and cold cereal, yogurt, waffles, apples, oranges, juices not to mention the good coffee. The people who complain must never have traveled to Europe! A great place to eat... More

The service was good, the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room had a great view and was very clean. NYE beach has a cute little shopping area walking distance from the hotel. Over all it was a good experience.

We found the room to be dark, dirty, and cave-like-- and the fireplace fumes filled the room. The view was great. Some staff were pleasant--others very unhelpful--including the Manager, Marion(?), who was rude and plain odd. Would NEVER stay here again :(

clean and well appointed... but not terribly cozy... a hotel for generica.... which I don't mean in a bad way, there was just very little character. But yes, great views from the room and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was a scone and a hard boiled egg - don't stay here because of that. Not much to complain about... More

What can we say.... The Hotel is above average located in a friendly town. Location is ok regarding restaurants etc but it has one big advantage..... THE VIEW!!! All rooms have diret sea view and on our second morning we saw a whale from our balcony. The small kitchen is also perfect suited. Just stop at a supermarket, by a... More
