We stayed here for three nights for our 25th anniversary trip. The view, of course, was the best part of our stay. The room is was clean, and everyone was helpful. The breakfast included bacon, sausage, gravy and biscuits. We went to sleep every night with the sliding door open. The sound of the ocean as you are going to... more

Stayed here with wife and friends on a dreary October night, more than offset by the fireplace, friendly staff, balcony, and beautiful (misty) view of the sandy beach and ocean. Got a fairly reasonable $119 rate, thanks in part to a coupon we found in local tourist flyer. This hotel is in the immediate area of other large hotels, but... more

Everyone was so friendly, the rooms fantastic, the view unparralled ! At 5pm smoked salmon chowder ,at 8pm fresh baked cookies in the lobby. ample parking, no one from the hotel passed without saying hello and offered any assistance and meant it! twice we called down to front desk for small things and they were there in seconds, unbelieveable! Tina,... more

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Rooms were bit small, but just about what you would expect in the hotels overlooking the beach (this was next to Shilo Inn). Breakfast was served between 6:30 and 10am, and included eggs/bacon/biscuits/cereal etc. You name it. It was good food, with the only negative is that the eating place can get... more

We stayed here to celebrate our birthdays in September. Pros: Beautiful view from our balcony Walking distance to the beach Good room size Walking distance to a lighthouse Bad: I was charged five dollars to mail back a headband (one of my favorites) I left behind and when I received it there was postage due. The free breakfast not worth... more

After finding a coupon book in a service station on our travels, found a coupon for this hotel, much to our surpise they honoured it a second night. Would have gladly paid full price, the staff and accomadations were excellent. more

We recently stayed here for one night as we worked our way down the Oregon coast. It happened to be an extremely warm day...when we arrived around 7pm, I was surprised that a hotel that cost this much did not have air conditioning. Perhaps, MOST of the time that's not a problem, but on this hot day, it definitely was... more

Our last stay in Newport was over 2 years ago and we were impressed with the Hallmark. I have to say that after 6 nights in the Elizabeth Street Inn, I should have only given the Hallmark three stars. The Elizabeth street Inn has a superior staff compared to the Hallmark, they are consistently friendly and helpful. Additionally, we felt... more

The Elizabeth Street Inn is a nice hotel with freindly staff. The hotel is clean and rooms are very nice. We did not experience their comp hot breakfast (had to leave at 5AM) but DID enjoy their 5PM serving of Smoked Salmon Chowder. The only downside to our stay was that the rooms are not air conditioned. However, leaving the... more
