We arrived in Newburg just as Oregon felt the wrath of the tail end of a Typhoon. It rained buckets for the full four days of our stay. Though we didn't get to enjoy any of the outside amenities, we were very impressed with all amenities indoors. Arrival staff were fantastic in getting us all set up, then even helping... More

Just a wonderful property, with a minor issue. It is an actual working vineyard for the first time this year. We took some great pictures of the staff picking grapes!! The rooms are very spacious with a balcony, the bathroom wonderfully appointed. The only complaint that I have is directed to housekeeping and the front desk reaction to the issue.... More

The Allison room rates went up this year. Their website offers no special rates, but AAA members should know that they may receive a discount by contacting the Allison reservations desk in person. When we arrived mid-week during a slow period, the people at the check-in desk were nice, but could not give us the room we reserved months in... More

Dear Irenita, I am so sorry that your experience was anything short of perfect. It has become increasingly difficult to take vacations in our society and when we do find, or make time we all expect everything to be perfect, and deservedly so. In this case, a stream of misses amounts to an overall experience that is not what we... More

This is probably one of the best places I've ever stayed. All aspects of the facility were top notch/five star. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, the rooms were incredibly comfortable and the location and larger footprint of the Inn was perfect. It's a beautiful place both the building and the views. You can't go wrong here--I would... More

Wonderful hotel for wine touring! Rooms are beautiful, spacious and comfortable with high end amenities. Had breakfast in the hotel restaurant both mornings we were there. It was a little speedy but very good (especially enjoyed the Eggs Benedict). Hired Jeff Peterson of Oregon Select Wine Tours through the hotel to drive us for a day of wine tasting. He... More

I stayed at this property with a group of friends in mid-September, and we all agreed, this is probably the best place we have ever stayed. The level of service at the Allison in unsurpassed. All staff that we encountered went out of their way to welcome us or assist us any way possible. The property itself is gorgeous and... More

I like the Allison, but since it is a relatively big hotel it is a little too corporate for my taste. Not necessarily a bad thing to be 'corporate', as the hotel is managed really well. The rooms are nice and spacious. The restaurant Jory was a great spot for lunch. Although we did not use the services at the... More

The Allison is an absolutely gorgeous place. The rooms are incredibly large, beautiful and extremely quiet. The food at the Jory was excellent, particularly dinner (book early!). The spa services we had were superb. And the country itself is beautiful. Those were the highs. Unfortunately, there were some lows that were quite disappointing. Basically, it came down to service. Our... More

Absolutely first class in every way without snooty. Casual wine country elegance. Everything about the property is beautiful well landscaped. There are sculptures, meditation gardens, and a small vineyard around the hotel which just makes for such a relaxing tranquil stay. The staff is friendly, helpful, and the management has paid attention to every detail. The room are clean, big... More

We were in the Willamette Valley for a wine-tasting weekend. This was our terrific headquarters. Rooms, spa, restaurants and service were outstanding. TV system was the only inferior element. We experienced terrible rainy weather. so we couldn't explore what looked like great outdoor venues. Great place.
