I stayed at the Shilo in late October while visiting family in town, and was very pleased throughout my 3 night stay. The staff there was very helpful, polite, and upbeat. I wasn't very familiar with the area and they went out of their way to point out all the local attractions, restaurants, and even gave me a map to... more

Well, this place has a few issues. The staff is nice and friendly, but can't improve this review. Firstly, the water pressure in the shower is poor. Not so bad for me; terrible for the lady washing her hair. Secondly, the hot tub was never hot. It seems like about 72 degrees is all it could manage. Thirdly, the TV... more

I stayed here for 2 nights with my family in Oct 2009. It is a basic hotel that has been recently remodeled. Our room was a good size, had comfortable beds, had new carpet and a new flat panel TV. The hotel is located conveniently off of the highway and is easy to find. The hotel offered a basic, but... more

I rented the room to stay with my brides maids before my wedding the next day. We checked in the room fine and it was beautiful, but then the problems started. When I originally booked the room, (The largest and most expensive room, the apartment suite) I was told that we would be able to get roll away beds for... more

Thank you for taking the time to share your wedding weekend story with us. First, congratulations on getting married! It’s an important day in one’s life with memories that last a lifetime. We are pleased you liked the room. The customer service concerns you posted however, are not typical for the Shilo Inn Suites – Newberg staff and have been...

The hotel is situated a couple of hundred feet back from the main street, so our room was pretty quiet even though it faced the street. Rooms have tons of space with a mini-kitchen, fridge, and dining table. We never used these amenities, but it was nice to have them and the extra space! Furnishings are a bit on the... more

I travel quite a lot for business, and often stay in overrated expensive hotels. This hotel was as nice as any hotel I've been in, and for a great deal too. Not to mention free wifi, that was big with me as I am constantly doing work on my laptop. The hotel was also very clean, and kept up well.... more

This is the third time we've come to Newberg to have a weekend scrapbooking retreat. The facility is great. Plenty of room for 14 scrappers. The sleeping rooms are spacious, although a bit dark. The staff are very helpful and gracious. Breakfast is good as are the cookies in the evening. We've already reserved our next retreat. more

I stayed at this hotel unexpectedly in a crisis. The 'newly remodeled' room with kitchenette was beautiful and comfortable. When the maintenance man showed me the room he noticed a lightbulb out and it was fixed before I checked in. I felt like I could finally settle in and take care of my unpleasant business. They gave me a great... more

First impression: the lobby is so dated, I felt like I was stuck in 1984. But I didn't come here for the lobby, I came here for the room. I actually prefer that hotels spend more money on the rooms themselves than a snazzy-looking lobby, and that's what the Shilo Inn did. The beds are pretty comfortable with lots of... more
