Great little hotel in Moro on Highway 97. Good value, clean rooms, free wifi, easy booking. Great place to stay when at the Oregon Raceway Park. They have a light continental breakfast in the lobby. A full breakfast is available across the street.

We were heading to Canada at the beginning of August and couldn't find anywhere to stay. We have been driving already for 11hrs and it was almost midnight when we found this motel. They were closed already but the vacancy sign was still on. They still gave a us a room and the price was awesome. The room was clean.... More

The Tall Winds is what it is--a motel straight out of the 50s. It is clean and quiet, and all the rooms have a fridge, microwave and flat screen TV, and the bed was comfortable (they only have queens, no kings). What more can you ask for in the middle of absolute nowhere? We stayed there on our drive from... More

Stayed here while attending a concert at Maryhill winery. Quiet, clean and friendly management. Continental breakfast provided. A great choice instead of driving all the way back to Portland. Nice shady park with Farmers market next door.

After driving from Prineville, and Madras because of no vacancys because of the fire. We stumbled on to this little oasis. We were so tired, and it was clean and quiet with a cool wonderful breeze. It's next to a park where my grandson played. It's dog friendly, and the manager and other patrons were all friendly. My husband and... More

On our one stop between Seattle and Bend, OR we chose to stay at the Tall Winds Motel. The owner was very nice and helpful but couldn't "produce" recommendation on a Sunday of where to eat....because nothing was open. Even the grocery store was closed. Moro, OR is definitely still "living" in the 1950's. We'd recommend eatting either in Madras... More

If you ran your own small hotel you would want it just like the Tall Winds. I drive sports cars on road race tracks around the country and this one was just great. Immaculate condition, quiet room, fridge, microwave, water pressure, working HVAC, great T.V.,nice front desk staff, perfect. All theses things sound basic and are what your are supposed... More

OK picture the scene. Your travelling US 97 north in the dead of winter. A snow storm has been raging for hours and you had to chain your tires just to move at a snails pace for the last 50 or 60 miles. It's getting late and there is literally nowhere to stop. Every little town since you left Bend... More

Very nice little hotel, much better than the options further north in Biggs. Very friendly managers/owners, and a pretty good deal for what you get. A very clean, and quiet room, and plenty of space. If you are traveling through, it is definitely a great place to rest up for the night.

I have stayed there many times, and only once did I get a bad deal (my room was dirty). Chalked that up to "anyone can have a bad day" routine, and tried again. No problems or issues. Shower pressure is not great, but the room was clean and quiet. What else can you ask for at this good price? Good... More
