Ok, it's not Ripley's but that was the feeling I got when I entered this hotel. When my husband booked us in this haunted hotel I decided it was something that I could deal with so I agreed. When we stepped into this three-ring circus I immediately felt uncomfortable. The paintings all over the walls and the decor are beyond... More

We stayed at this hotel for my niece's wedding. Right in the heart of the cute city of McMinnville and full of history, ghost stories, and quirky artwork, it was pretty cool. The laid back atmosphere is great, but there is a way to do it without sacrificing on service. The employees were fine but completely overworked. They need a... More

The service at my daughter's wedding reception was horrible. There was no bus service for a wedding party of 70 people. Our guests actually were stacking up plates on the table to make room for the dessert. They ran out of the main course and the salad bowl was the size for a small dinner party. The service people seemed... More

Stumbled upon this place while touring wine country. We were going to head to a McMenamins in Portland, but this was much better! Rooftop bar for lunch was great. Food decent, service good. The actual old hotel is really fun to see. Old building, quirky paintings..part of the charm. If near this town, this place is worth a stop.

It's great value to stay in a $75 room with a down-the-hall restroom/shower. no problem with noise during the week. As everyone else has said, the rooftop bar is very cool .... but I was disappointed that during Happy Hour the veggie burger doesn't include a side -- so really it's not much of a deal. The burger is average... More

Great location in heart of downtown for shops, fun coffee bars, and great natural grocery, farmers market location. Park at 4pm for free parking through night. Or if you wake-up early move your car to nearby spot for check-out. Roof-top...a strong must. Food & service average, thrill is in the view, visit at sunset. Street level, outside table/chair, great. Speed... More

funky, fun and quirky is what the mcmenamin's brother bring to your traveling experience. you could spend a day just looking at the art in this property but be prepared to be scared and creeped out by some (most) of it. the roof top bar gives you a nice view of the town and its surrounding areas. we came to... I love this place. I've been here several times, and it's creepy as all get-out. Get your wits about you for the walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night--the paintings of leering old people at the ends of the hall can spawn nightmares following a midnight bladder release. Opt for the en suite sink? I love all... More

I am a fan of repurposed/historic buildings, so I thought I would love it a lot more. It is nothing if not unique. It was clean, no critters, always a plus. The rooms were a bit dusty for me, but nothing outrageous. I guess the funky part didn't do it for me. Usually these things have more appeal for me,... More

This hotel was a great jumping off point for wine tasting around the Williamette Valley. The rooms were quirky and old fashioned, spring for the private bath, I'd say it's worth it, ours ended up being a corner room which had huge windows overlooking the main street through town. Clawfoot tub and the fixtures seemed to be original. There is... More
