This hotel is definitely quaint, with old late 19th and early 20th century rooms, I think most having added bathrooms. Each room is different, and the walls of the rooms and halls are festooned with a variety of artwork. There is an elevator to use, which is great for taking bags up, but the stairs are good exercise and allow... More

If you visit here you must go to the rooftop and enjoy a beverage. Nice views and string lighting is very romantic. Have eaten at different locations and this is definitely the best. The service was excellent and helpful... we have eaten at several Mcmenamins and never disappointed but wanted to try another local restaurant and we were directed to... More

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Oregon in MacMinnville for a few days last summer on our way down to Crater Lake National Park. We had read about the hotels owned by the McMenamin brothers in our Moon Guide. The hotel Oregon did not disappoint. It is located in an wonderful old restored brick building, the corridors are... Once again, a stay at one of McMenamin's hotels is an adventure. They manage to take an old building, renovate it without removing its character, and come up with a winning accommodation - every time. The rooms are all very unique and named after actual people connected with the property from close to 100 years ago. Some of the rooms... More

The rooms are very cool. One is supposed to be haunted but not the one I had. Enjoyed the visit and the roof top bar is great. Well positioned in the center of McMinnville and all you would expect from a Wild West Hotel. Creaky floorboards and no TVs. Just what you need. Very enjoyable.

What a great experience! I've been hearing about McMenamin's hotels and pubs forever and finally got a chance to experience one of them. It was pretty close to what I expected. I knew that there would be communal bathrooms so it was no big deal. I realized each time that I used the bathroom (which needed an access card to... More

Upon arriving at the hotel, we were skeptical because it looks kind of shabby and knick knacky, but quickly realized this was the charm of the historic building. The hallways and artwork were fascinating to explore. My husband and I got the European style room (shared bathroom), and it was very small, but also very cute. They give you robes... More

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago and I wasn't impressed with the uncomfortable beds. However, that has changed! We recently spent 3 nights there and loved it! He ate breakfast in the restaurant each morning and we ate dinner at the Roof Top Bar. Good food and beer! They have two Happy Hours. Housekeeping was pleasant and... More

Stayed here one night Sunday, April 27, 2014. My husband and I chose a room with a bathroom, total costs $115.00 + tax . Our room was called "Les and Mattie Hanna" #307. It was a small room overlooking the main street in downtown McMinnville with a great view. In typical McMenamins fashion, our room had no television or closet... More

For not even a sink in a small room, $90 seems a little steep. Brochure (even the one in our room) & website both said there was a pool table & no pets allowed. While we were eating breakfast we saw a bull dog wandering through the lobby. If i'd have known dogs could stay, i would've asked for one... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel. ... more   less
