I've stayed at the Caddisfly several times, in all of the cabins, and enjoyed it thoroughly. The cabins themselves are a bit rustic, but cozy, and the beds are comfortable. The resort is a great base for exploring the Willamette National Forest, hiking, fishing, or golfing at Tokatee. The big draw of all of the cabins is the wall of... More

This was the first time we saw mckenzie river, great way to first experience. The owners are super nice very approachable. It's true the could use some curtains but it wasn't a deal breaker. I just wish there was another small chair in the living room. Beds were one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in and you... More

I surprised my husband with a weekend at Caddisfly Resort. Neither of us had been there. It was recommended by a coworker. The owners came out to greet us when we arrived and knew my name. We rented cabin 3. It's the smallest of the three. It has a large living room with a wood stove. The sliding doors open... More

We stayed in cabin 2 with our 4 children. Our friends stayed in cabin 1. We were confused where to check in since there are 2 offices. Dick the owner lives next door to cabin 1. Can I say the view from the cabin was serene and the sound of the rushing river just fabulous! The kitchen has all the... More

I spent the weekend in Cabin 2 with 4 of my children and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We arrived on Friday at 2pm where Robert greeted us (along with his 2 year old malamute) and let us know that he had our cabin heated and the door unlocked and to make ourselves at home! For $100 plus 9% tax you... More

Thought I would write this review after reading a couple others that have been posted to this site. We booked one night, spur of the moment, and we were reading some of the reviews on the way over. We were thinking, "ut oh." This place couldn't have been more of what we were looking for. We were wanting a river... More

After reading a few positive reviews, I booked 2 nights at the Caddisfly Resort in Mckenzie Bridge, Oregon. My guess is that the reviews came from people who were not in cabin 3. I never received an e-mail prior to our visit (was supposed to) so wasn't exactly sure what supplies were there and what to bring. The previous guests left... More

We used to plan a trip to these cabins every year. The McKenzie is my favorite river - it's always beautiful and cold. Fished it since I was a boy. The cabins here are wonderfully laid out and very close to the river. It's close to the Scenic McKenzie hwy., Clear Lake. Perfect in every regard, BUT awhile back we... More

I've been vacationing at the Caddisfly for almost 30 years and absolutely love it! The cabins are cute and comfortable. Dick and Doris the owners are great. The location is lovely right on the Mc Kenzie river surrounded by beautiful forest The grounds are well kept and very pretty. Always a good experience.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. There are only three cabins, but the rate, which is very reasonable, is the same for each. We stayed in the largest. There was one bedroom downstairs and a loft that would sleep up to 5 upstairs. The cabin was immaculate with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable,... More
