Stayed the night before a fishing trip so was up early but the few hours sleep I had was very restful. The renovated rooms are super clean with small but very functional bathrooms. The facilities included microwave, fridge, TV and coffee machine. The bed was comfortable. Very friendly staff, helpful both over the phone when booking and upon arrival. Would... More

Stayed here the night before a rafting trip that departed from Maupin the next morning. We were late arriving - nearly 10 p.m., but service was kind and understanding. Also gave great recommendations for breakfast options the next morning. We had a queen suite - two queen beds in separate rooms, plus a bathroom. Very simple, old-school motel but sparkling... More

This was an exceptional find in the middle of nowhere! This is the kind of motel that I love to find especially when it is fixed up like it was. The hotel sits at the top of a hill on the edge of the little town of Maupin, OR a river rafting & fishing town of a few hundred people.... More

The downside.....The beds were way to firm for me...But like I said to the owner. When it comes to a hotel/motel...You can't win. You can't make everyone happy. This place is obviously an older motel that they went in and renovated. Did a great job. The bathroom was quite tiny but the shower was so AWESOME the way it was... More

I was driving through this small town at dusk and decided to stop for the night. This was the only place I found that offered free wi-fi, satellite TV, microwave and fridge. As NO restaurants were open/ available I appreciated the small kitchenette. I bought some prepared food at a market in town and heated it up in my room.... More

I've stayed here several times over the past couple of years while motorcycling in the area. Dave and Dawna are some of the hardest working and nicest people you’ll ever meet. They always go above and beyond when our group of bikers stay there. This weekend, not for the first time, they procured steaks and all the fixings for a... More

I have stayed in everything from really cheap motels or cabins to 5 star resorts. The Deschutes Motel may be off the beaten path and plain looking from the road, but the super friendliness of the owners, modern updates to satellite and free wifi, and the great pricing make it a place we look forward to revisiting.

I always enjoy staying here. The rooms are spotless and beds are genuinely comfortable ( very important for a guy my age ). I feel like I get more than my money's worth. The owners are very accommodating and will assist in any way they can. I had a very difficult family situation after I'd already made a reservation and... More

Watch out if you need to cancel- the guy was EXTREMELY RUDE to me, told me too bad, wouldn't even tell me how much I would get charged, or even if I still had a reservation. He said they sent a confirmation and it will have the price on it- but I reserved over the phone. What a jerk!

While we appreciate all of our feedback, this review is not an accurate description of the situation nor is it a typical review for our location and service. We are very clear about our cancellation policy at the time of booking, and this is especially true during Maupin’s limited peak season. When a guest calls to cancel outside of their... More

A very friendly, clean, accommodating motel in rafting country USA!!! The owners go out of their way to make sure ur every need is taken care of. The price is a little steep for the accommodations but there is little competition with a total of only about 50 rooms in this small Central Oregon rafting town of Maupin. Few amenities... More
