My wife and I spent two days in Maupin for a rafting trip. First off, you are within walking distance of several rafting companies including the one we booked with, and also walking distance from a few good places to eat and the river if you want to go for a swim. Room was very clean, the place is well... More

After a day of rafting on the Deschutes we stayed the night at this lodge. We were one of the first to stay at River Run Lodge since it's reopening last weekend. The entire lodge has been renovated and the rooms are lovely. We stayed in the Oak Springs room and it is very spacious and includes a full kitchen.... More

This is a much delayed review for a great, one of a kind lodging establishment. I have stayed here close to 3 times. It is well appointed for the travelers needs, and rest. The beds are comfortable, the showers warm and the best thing: absolute quiet! Its location is scenic (right across from the Deschutes River), and it is safe,... More

This is a great little place to stay on your fall fishing trip! Mike, the owner, is very helpful, although his fishing knowledge is minimal. Perfect for a group of people looking to kick back; outside grill and hang out area, interior common room with large flat screen, perfect for sports, includes kitchen area as well. Would def. stay there... More

Thanks for your comments, Galen. You were being charitable when you said my fishing knowledge was minimal. Mostly, I just direct folks to one of our two excellent fly shops. In any case, I'm glad you liked the place & enjoyed your stay. Best regards, Mike More

The room was clean, but very small. They had a nice kitchen area that had a very minimal self serve breakfast. We did not see the managers at all during our stay. The room had a dead bolt that wasn't usuable, weird. Beds were pretty hard and uncomfortable. There were some fruit flies and the room smelled a little musty.... More

Karla, let me start by apologizing. I did forget to adjust your charges. I saw your e-mail about this when I got to my office on the morning of the 17th, and I responded immediately. I refunded the pet fee this morning (the 19th). I should have been more prompt. BEDS: The bed in your room is about 1 1/2... More

The River Run Lodge is an excellent spot if fishing or vacationing on the Deschutes River. There aren't many accomodation in Maupin and this is our favorite. It is situated well for small to large groups and has very excellent facilities. Mike, the host, is always helpful and insures everything is in order. The lodge has seven rooms (I think)... More

This was a great base before and after our rafting adventure. Mike was an awesome host! Our rooms were ready early, the common areas (kitchen, living room, yard and decks were very comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful.

I made my reservation online, then needed to make several changes. My emails were answered immediately and Mike was very helpful, offering several solutions to each issue I had. I eventually needed to cancel my stay, and again this was deal with efficiently and professionally. Based on how great my experience has been with just making plans to stay here,... More

It's right next to the start line for the Time Trial. Mike and Dani run a nice lodge! Great place to stay if you just want to get away, fish, ride bikes, or float the Deschuttes. It comes with breakfast (self serve in the nice commons area, which includes a full kitchen and living room.) Rooms come with Direct TV,... More
