Spindrift is a little older motel in laid back Manzanita, but close to Cannon Beach. The host, Bob, was marvelous and service makes up for a lot in my opinion. There is a pub across the street and little grocery store just up the street and, oh yeah, a beautiful beach just down the street not so packed with people.... More

Thanks Ricky_Dee for your kind words. As a senior reviewer, your “perfect getaway” makes us smile! We are pleased to have Bob as our new innkeeper. He brings great business experience, is sensitive to guest needs and helps them find that extra “plus”. Built in 1946 by a local gent confined to a wheelchair, our little Spindrift Inn will be... We stayed at the Spindrift Inn the first week of Ocober, 2014. The new proprietor, Bob, was so helpful. He mentioned that the salmon were running in the Nehala River and directed us to a spot to watch. He was right and we had an exciting experience. Bob also mentioned an art deco antiques store in Wheeler that was truly... More

Hi Sandy! Thank you for the kind words! The favorite part of my job is to help people have a memorable experience when they visit the Spindrift Inn, Manzanita, and the surrounding area. There are so many things to do -- hang out at the beach, hike a national / state parks, fishing/crabbing, antiquing, shopping, eating at interesting restaurants, venues.... More

This is a quaint Inn and exactly what you want a beach "house" to be. Very clean and the people were so friendly. We extended our stay as we were having such a wonderful time both in the town and in the Inn. This place is a quick walk ( across the street in fact) to the best espresso shop... More

This is a reasonably priced Inn with aging but neat rooms. You can walk to the beach which is beautiful and you are within walking distance of the whole 4 or 5 block long town. It probably will cost half of what you would pay in Cannon Beach and you can even find a parking place.

My wife and I went on a long vacation on the west coast, our first over night stop was Manzanita Beach and it was lovely. The Spindrift is located right in the middle of town foot steps from the beach and right across the street from a small pub. Our room was both very clean and very affordable. If traveling... More

We opted to stay in Manzanita as it was cheaper than Cannon Beach. The little town itself is lovely, with a beautiful beach - much less crowded than Cannon Beach. But the Spindrift Inn was lacking in both hospitality and quality. We arrived after 6pm and had trouble getting into our rooms. The manager wasn't there and we had to... More

The best thing about this place is the location. It's in the middle of all that happening in Manzanita. It is set up like the old motel style where you drive up to your room and have an outside entrance. They do have what they call a courtyard but I would just call it a green area with a couple... We stayed at Spindrift once before and just loved it! It's a wonderful location; right on the main road and one block to the beach. Kerrie and Greg are super friendly and happy to accommodate. For example, should you happen to need a bottle opener, just ask and then Kerrie will offer you wine glasses for your use, too (and... More

This was our third visit to the SpinDrift Inn and I fear their standards may be slipping. Or it may be the difference between the rooms. Our room on this visit had more mildew on the rear metal windows than I remember from past visits. Admittedly, the front vinyl windows are very clean. The couch in this unit was more... More

The best part about this Inn is the location. 1 block from the beach, 1 block from great food, 1 block from great coffee, 1 block from the spa. The size of the room was very roomy, but the building itself is a little old and the bathroom definitely outdated. It is a quiet location however and the staff is... More
