We have gone to the Spindrift Inn many times over the years. We have always been satisfied and this last visit was no different. When we arrived, we were met by Bob. He quickly checked us in and told us what was available at the Spindrift - nothing fancy, but useful things like ice and DVDs. He also had a... More

Thank you so much, Debra -- you're making my day! It's great to hear that the list of surrounding places was helpful for you. We want you to be able to really enjoy our cozy town, especially since you've been here several times before. It's our pleasure to make sure you feel comfortable during your stay with us. We hope... Our room was clean and quiet and comfortable. Great resturant next door. Bob, the inn-keeper treated us great. If you want to know where the locals go--ask him! Great advice. We enjoyed the local history lecture we went to--if available don't miss it!

That's great to hear, Richard! We want to be sure everyone is comfortable while they are here in Manzanita, and letting you in on the local favorites is one way to do that. We wouldn't want you to miss out on the best parts of this neighborhood. Definitely come stay with us again next time you're in town. Hope to... More

Spindrift is a little older motel in laid back Manzanita, but close to Cannon Beach. The host, Bob, was marvelous and service makes up for a lot in my opinion. There is a pub across the street and little grocery store just up the street and, oh yeah, a beautiful beach just down the street not so packed with people.... More

Thanks Ricky_Dee for your kind words. As a senior reviewer, your “perfect getaway” makes us smile! We are pleased to have Bob as our new innkeeper. He brings great business experience, is sensitive to guest needs and helps them find that extra “plus”. Built in 1946 by a local gent confined to a wheelchair, our little Spindrift Inn will be... We stayed at the Spindrift Inn the first week of Ocober, 2014. The new proprietor, Bob, was so helpful. He mentioned that the salmon were running in the Nehala River and directed us to a spot to watch. He was right and we had an exciting experience. Bob also mentioned an art deco antiques store in Wheeler that was truly... More

Hi Sandy! Thank you for the kind words! The favorite part of my job is to help people have a memorable experience when they visit the Spindrift Inn, Manzanita, and the surrounding area. There are so many things to do -- hang out at the beach, hike a national / state parks, fishing/crabbing, antiquing, shopping, eating at interesting restaurants, venues.... More

This is a quaint Inn and exactly what you want a beach "house" to be. Very clean and the people were so friendly. We extended our stay as we were having such a wonderful time both in the town and in the Inn. This place is a quick walk ( across the street in fact) to the best espresso shop... More

We're so glad you got to relax and spend time here, Peggy! We're happy to help you get away from the hectic pace of your life. It's good to hear that you got to explore the town -- the beauty of Manzanita is that there's something unexpected and fun around every corner. I hope you'll come back and see us... More

This is a reasonably priced Inn with aging but neat rooms. You can walk to the beach which is beautiful and you are within walking distance of the whole 4 or 5 block long town. It probably will cost half of what you would pay in Cannon Beach and you can even find a parking place.

We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Like you said, Spindrift Inn's proximity to the beach is one of the main reasons people stay with us, along with our location in the middle of so many great restaurants and shops. We try to keep true to the 1940's origins of our Inn, yet are constantly making... More

My wife and I went on a long vacation on the west coast, our first over night stop was Manzanita Beach and it was lovely. The Spindrift is located right in the middle of town foot steps from the beach and right across the street from a small pub. Our room was both very clean and very affordable. If traveling... More

It's good to hear that you're impressed with our location -- it's great to be so close to all the great local places in our cozy town. I hope you decide to travel through Oregon again soon.... More

We opted to stay in Manzanita as it was cheaper than Cannon Beach. The little town itself is lovely, with a beautiful beach - much less crowded than Cannon Beach. But the Spindrift Inn was lacking in both hospitality and quality. We arrived after 6pm and had trouble getting into our rooms. The manager wasn't there and we had to... More

It's great to hear that you were a fan of Manzanita, Claire, but I'm disappointed that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. I'm especially concerned that you didn't experience our hospitality. It's our highest priority to make sure you are comfortable and at home in our wonderful town, and it sounds like we missed our mark with you. I... More

The best thing about this place is the location. It's in the middle of all that happening in Manzanita. It is set up like the old motel style where you drive up to your room and have an outside entrance. They do have what they call a courtyard but I would just call it a green area with a couple... It would be a shame to stay in Manzanita and not get to all the great local shops and restaurants, Ronald, so we're glad we could provide a good location to do that. I'm sorry you weren't impressed with the courtyard, but we took what was built in the 1940's and keep it planted year round, and do have several... More

We stayed at Spindrift once before and just loved it! It's a wonderful location; right on the main road and one block to the beach. Kerrie and Greg are super friendly and happy to accommodate. For example, should you happen to need a bottle opener, just ask and then Kerrie will offer you wine glasses for your use, too (and... More
