I was going to stay on Nov 11-15.But when I called to see if I could make a change in the room I had booked, I was told that they were changing management on Oct 30 and couldnt tell me if I had a reservation or not.The person I talked to wanted to know if anyone had contacted me.But they... more

Wonderful place! First off, many of the units are individually owned and rented through vacation rental places rather than through the hotel directly. We stayed at one of the units booked through a vacation rental place, so I am not sure if that makes a difference at all for this review. My husband and I and relatives (6 adults and... more

Me and my Husband were going to stay at the sea gypsy for our weekend away, I was happy with there prices, but when we got there we checked in and went up to our room, it was DIRTY, looks like they had not dusted in months, there were black hand prints everywhere, and cobwebs hanging above the bed. Half... more

I have stayed here several times. We always book first floor, oceanview rooms. The rooms are updated and include a kitchen and spectacular views of the ocean. I will stay here again on my next visit. more

I've stayed at the Sea Gypsy almost every year since I was a young teenager. I now take my own family of (currently teenagers!) once or twice a year. I've read the other reviews... No, this is NOT a new motel-but has been updated multiple times over the 30+ years I've stayed here. This is THE most economical, family-friendly, beachfront... more

This is a property to be avoided. The weekend was for my 2 children and myself. We booked a studio not facing the ocean with a queen bed and rollaway. When we arrived we were told that a studio was only for two people. Even though they had booked us in as three people. When we arrived in the room,... more

I booked a studio room at the Sea Gypsy since I was traveling alone on this trip. It was an inexpensive room with no extras; just a coffee maker. The room looked like it had been recently remodeled, so had new carpet, etc... Everything seemed okay until 1:00 am in the morning when my rude neighbors decided to start drinking... more

My Husband and I stayed in an Ocean front room on the 3rd floor for an Anniversary and was pleasantly surprised, it had a fully stocked kitchenette, adjoining room, nicely remodeled, beautiful view of the Ocean and am currently making reservations for this year... VERY peaceful, spacious, family oriented and right on the beach... only downside is being below the... more

I've stayed here for the past 10 years. The last 2 times during the summer it was very loud as kids were screaming on the beach into the wee hours. Okay that's expected. I' m not unreasonable. This last time was again beach front non-smoking. The rooms have new paint and carpet. I go just to have my windows open... more

I really like this hotel. If you are on a budget you can really get your moneys worth out of this hotel. Above all it is clean and that is #1 for me above all. If you have a baby they have fridges and full kitchens in most rooms for bottles, food etc.. They even had a crib for our... more
