Disclaimer: We did not stay at the Hotel, we just stopped to soak on our way through town. The man at the front desk was pleasant and let us into the hot springs even though it was almost closed.Cost was $10 per person. The change rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was a little dated but the water seemed... More

After a 7 hour car ride, we were really looking forward to this place. However, the tub in our room was dirty (my husband took pictures), not just old or hard water, but you could scrape off the dirt with your finger. Also, there was a large hole in the sheets and a door that didn't lock right. Though we... More

My husband and I came to this amazing little place for my birthday in September and fell in love with it right away. The Hotel and grounds were once a hot spot for travelers and has a hot springs and geyser that goes off reliably (drought permitting). Unfortunately it was not active in September but I heard that it is... More

On a 2 week trip to Portland on motorcycles, my husband and I stayed one night. Yes the décor is dated but our room was very clean and a good size. The bed was not the greatest. The location is on the very edge of town so you must drive (or for us ride) to get something to eat. This... More

We had planned on camping...it got cold and windy! We stopped in Lakeview to get some supplies and started looking for alternate accommodations. We found a few...headed out to look them over. Luckily, we visited this place first. The young man at the desk let us see a room, it was basic...but nice. Then he told us about the hot... More

On a road trip to Reno we stayed at Hunter's. The accommodations were very good. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, Jim, the owner was very friendly and informative and recommended several restaurants. We learned about the gem hunting and other activities in this area. The resort is located at the edge of town and off of... More

It's my belief the purpose of TA reviews is to help others make informed choices in their lodging. Unfortunately, negative reviews can hurt well-intentioned small businesses but facts are facts. This is based on our experience in room 44 in the newer section. First be informed that the long-term drought in region has dried up all the natural standing water... More

This resort is a bit dated, to about the mid 1950s. It is obvious that the current owner is working at improving the property. He has a ways to go though. It could be a result of the drought, but the hot spring was a wet spot. It may have been the time of year, but no wildlife was seen.... More

We had a lovely time at Hunter's Hot Springs Resort. Owner Jim is a friendly, knowledgeable host. The hot springs are wonderful, and it's worth springing for the rooms with the private hot tubs, even if those rooms are a bit rough around the edges. Perfect place to rest and enjoy the birds and wildlife. It's been years since we've... More
