Do not be put off by the slightly dilapidated appearance. The setting with open fields and hills with a spouting geyser is hard to beat. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. equipped with microwave, refrigerator with freezer and a coffee maker. The hot spring fed open air pool is kept hot (i think about 106 when we visited) for... More

Our daily travel plan found us in the area and a hot spring pool sounded good. This is a very old health resort that is being refurbished. It appears it is a family operation and it is clear they are trying hard with limited resources. Prices are low so with the pool and off highway location it is good value.... More

I have been to Lake view three times and every time I stay at Jim's Hunter's Hot Springs Motel. I soak in the hot springs pool every morning and night , which relaxes me so I can have a very fruitful business meeting by day and great nights sleep by night. The full length hot springs pool is the reason... More

Last week I decided to try out this Hot Springs. I can only say that the water was the best I have been in for sometime. The owner was very friendly and informative about the property and the Hot Springs. He is working on projects to upgrade the property. The room I stayed in was very clean. The value was... More

We are truly mystified as to how this place received such a high rating. It's over-the-top scary and strange. The grounds are a mess, with dead plants and junk everywhere and the "lobby" (if that's what you'd call it) was dark and filthy. I asked to see a room before we committed to staying there and that, too, was old... More

You're response seems suspect to me at best. My hotel has recieved high ratings from guests who have stayed here and truly enjoyed their time. You're comment of our hot springs being dry is a false accuasation. The front ponds, which are fed by the geyser, have dried up anually during the latest parts of summer due to the ongoing... More

So I am just back from my second stay at Hunter's Hot Springs Motel in Lakeview OR. Each time I went it was for lodging while attending a course at Thunder Ranch. Jim, the owner, is a really great guy - down to earth, very friendly, interested in his guests and really makes an effort to make your stay as... More

Frendly owner and help. Rooms exactly worth what you pay. Waterbirds everywhere and massive hot pool. No sulfur smell in the water, unusual for a natural hot spring. So good we stayed there on the way back!

I rated this higher purely for the remarkable setting, but I also want people to know what they're getting. There was nothing very wrong with the room; it was dated and worn, but clean and everything worked OK. The hosts were nice but very hard to find for check in and when I needed assistance (the two times I needed... More

We arrived late at Hunter's, which is a 1930s motel outside Lakeview. Fun historical details in the check in area made us wonder what kind of a room we might get. We need not have worried because the building we were in was newly redecorated- paint, fabrics, flooring etc. Room had a fridge and micro as well as coffee maker... More

Lisa, Thank you for the review. Sorry to hear about the power going out on you. Lakeviews remote location can make utilities a challange at times. I wish you could have tried the hot springs pool. Most of our guests agree the water is one of the best attractions of Hunter's. We have no sulfar smell, high mineral content, and... More

We stayed her while on a motorcycle trip to Florida from Vancouver Island. The hot springs pool was so nice to be in after riding all day. This place is excellent value for the money, and seems to be a well kept secret. A great find ! Our room was BIG and comfortable, and well equipped, and very clean, but... More
