We stayed five nights in the Mt. Howard cabin, with its two bedrooms (sleeps up to 6), two bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, easy walking distance to Wallowa Lake and only a mile from two popular trailheads. Bottom line: This was the second time staying with Wallowa Lake Resort, look forward to staying there again. More

Before we booked this cabin, we did look at all the reviews on Trip Advisor about our choices at the Lake and decided to book Cabin #3 given the postive remarks we read. While we cannot dispute the fact that the Cabin was clean and tidy, we did find it to be incredibly dated and appearing as if it had... More

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. The reviews and comments help us continue to improve each of our cabins and our service. In regard to your comments about cabin #3. We purchased all of these cabins in 2003. All of our cabins have been updated from that time. In addition, all of our linens are reviewed and tossed... More

We stayed 4 nights in #27 Mountain Vista, and it is a great little cabin with one big drawback: the drawback location is right next door to a noisy go kart track. The cabin is old but equipped really well and very comfortable. The appliances are dated but workable; the little wood stove is great. The bed is so-so and... More

Excellent review.. Yes, it is very important to pick the correct cabin. All of our cabins are privately owned and each is unique. In this case the cabin was #27 Mtn Vista... It is right next to the go carts which makes it our lowest price cabin at $105/night. We publish that it is next to the go carts on... More

Wallowa Lake is one of the most beautiful spots in Oregon. Our cabin at the Wallowa Lake Resort was in keeping with the surroundings. While rustic in appearance outside, it was spacious, clean, well furnished and equipped inside. A generous supply of firewood allowed a cozy fire in the fireplace each evening. The kitchen was well enough equipped to set... More

Have been staying here longer then the current owners have owned it. Can't beat it, as a get away place to just relax, or have as much fun as you want. The cabin(house) I always get costs a little more than a hotel, but it is a house. Besides, you can't feed the deer off your deck, in a motel.... More

We stayed in Cabin 3, "Glacier", where we could hear the rushing river and watch the deer. Our poodles also had a great time tracking the critters on the lawn behind the cabin. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Doug Buska. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked nice. This resort is a very short walk... More

We stayed in cabin #27, Mountain Vista. The cabin was FAR better than we had imagined. So spacious! We were especially impressed by the size of the bathroom. There is also a large back porch, complete with table and chairs. The place was very clean, well equipped, and perfectly cozy. We'll definitely plan another trip, and may even bring the... More

It all depends on lodging you select. I got the Heidi house and was not impressed. There was no wireless which was promised and no phone service. I thought it was over priced. You are paying for the location more than anything. Next time I will be staying in Joseph. More

I have stayed at Wallowa Lake Resort on three separate occasions in three different cabins at different times of the year. All three trips have been unique and spectacular! I especially appreciate being able to bring my two dogs, as it can be difficult to find accommodations that will allow dogs. The owners provide a "doggie package," which includes some... More

We stayed in these cabins two times recently. They fill up quickly over the summer so make sure you book early. The older cabins are a bit run down with 70's/80's style furniture and decor. They are clean and comfortable but we much more enjoyed the condo we booked for just a bit more money. The website has accurate descriptions... More
