After a poor experience staying in Mt. Vernon, we were relieved to get a room here just before the big BMW motorcycle rally came into town. Some budget motels seem to have been designed for that category from the start, others once were first class, and have slowly deteriorated over the years; this falls into the second category. We stayed here for 4 nights as part of a large group (motorcycle rally). The reservations process was excellent and attentive. The refrigerator and microwave in the room are very convenient. Clean Budget motel. Had microwave, refrigerator in the room. I didn't want to spend too much on a room at the Best Western, but I didn't want to spend too little at the Dreamer's Lodge. I stay in John Day often and would recommend this hotel. Call the hotel directly to get a better rate. more
